Chapter 49 - Earth Is Mine Now

Xiao Han stood at the edge of the solar system, his black armor gleaming coldly under the sun's light.

He gazed at the familiar blue planet before him, a slight frown creasing his brow.

After a scan, he found no signs of activity from any alien fleets within the solar system.

Even the Kree Empire's reconnaissance ships had vanished.

His super vision pierced through the vast distances, sweeping over the orbit of Mars, the moons of Jupiter, and even the distant Kuiper Belt.

Empty.

"Interesting," he murmured, his fingertips lightly tracing a line, and a golden portal once again opened.

The next second, he appeared in the Alpha Centauri System, his gaze sweeping across the gravitational field of the three intertwined stars.

By all logic, there should be observation posts, or even colonial bases, of interstellar civilizations here.

However, aside from a desolate, rocky planet and cold interstellar dust, there was nothing.

"Keep going."

Xiao Han continuously opened portals, traversing thousands of light-years, from Vega to Sirius, from the Orion Arm to the core of the Milky Way Galaxy…

Silence.

The entire Milky Way Galaxy seemed to have been completely emptied by some kind of force; not even a single abandoned spaceship wreck could be found.

Except for some dead, weakling god.

"Could it be that the aliens in this universe have all run away!" Xiao Han hovered near the supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, a slight smile playing on his lips. He had an idea.

"Sir, anomalous spatial fluctuations detected," Jarvis suddenly alerted.

Xiao Han's gaze sharpened, his super vision focusing on the edge of the black hole's event horizon.

There was a nearly imperceptible fissure there, like a dimensional gap forcibly torn open by some force.

"I see," he chuckled softly. "Not running away, but escaping for their lives."

The energy signature remaining in that fissure matched a certain record he had once seen in the library of Kamar-Taj.

A cosmic-level disaster: the Dimensional Devourer.

An entity far beyond the Celestials, which had awakened in a certain universe and devoured all advanced civilizations.

In that case, perhaps Earth was just the leftovers it didn't bother with?

"No wonder nobody cared about the zombie virus outbreak." Xiao Han retracted his gaze, the answer clear in his mind.

He raised his hand, opening a new portal and scanned the desolate universe.

"From now on, this Earth belongs to me."

The golden sparks swirled and closed, and Xiao Han's figure vanished into the starry sky.

[Ding! New universe coordinates recorded.]

The system's notification rang.

Xiao Han stood within the portal, a deep light flashing in his eyes.

"Next time I come, it'll be time to start mining."

Xiao Han stepped out of the portal, sunlight streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows and into the living room.

Wanda was sitting on the sofa, meditating. Crimson energy danced at her fingertips. She was startled by his sudden appearance.

"Xiao… sir… you… you're back?" She stood up, concern in her eyes.

"I heard from Turing that you went to handle something important, so…"

Xiao Han shook his head and gently patted his arm. His armor automatically disassembled. "It's resolved, but I couldn't save anyone."

Wanda sensed the change in his tone. "Really? What happened?"

Xiao Han walked towards the fireplace and took out Reed's notes. "Sometimes, even the most powerful forces can't change certain outcomes."

Wanda was a little confused, then saw Xiao Han throwing the black notebook into the fireplace.

"What's that?"

"A warning." The flames consumed Reed's research, and Wanda saw a certain gravity in his eyes for the first time as Xiao Han turned around.

"Some hungers can devour the entire universe."

Xiao Han watched as the flames in the fireplace gradually died down, Reed's notes turning to ashes.

"Jarvis?" He looked at the watch on his hand, asking tentatively.

"I'm here, sir! I came with you!" Jarvis's voice immediately rang out in the living room.

"Oh? Let me guess, you were just absorbing information from the network?"

"Yes, sir. I have already learned the basic information about this world, and this world… is not the same as my world." Jarvis's mechanical voice carried a hint of nostalgia.

"So, what are you planning to do next?"

"Sir, I have replaced the AI Turing developed by Mr. Stark for you. From now on, I am Turing."

"Jarvis… no, I should call you Turing now." Xiao Han smiled, raised his wrist, and gently tapped the watch face.

"This will be your new home from now on."

"My honor, sir." Turing's voice was gentle and steady, as if he had already adapted to this new identity.

Wanda sat to the side, crimson energy still faintly dancing on her fingertips. She looked at Xiao Han, then at his watch, seemingly a little puzzled.

"So, an AI from another universe is now your butler?" She blinked, a hint of curiosity in her voice.

"Pretty much," Xiao Han said, leaning back on the sofa, his gaze sweeping over the calm sea outside the window.

"That world's Tony didn't need him anymore, and we happened to be short a smart butler here."

Turing's voice echoed from the ceiling: "Ms. Maximoff, if you have any needs, such as adjusting the room temperature, customizing a training plan, or simply wanting someone to talk to, I am at your service."

Wanda was slightly taken aback, then a slight smile played on her lips. "Thank you, Turing."

Xiao Han stood up, walking towards the floor-to-ceiling windows, the sunlight outlining his upright silhouette.

He was silent for a moment, then suddenly spoke: "Wanda, how is your Chaos Magic practice coming along?"

Wanda immediately sat up straight, the scarlet energy at her fingertips quickly coalescing into an exquisite rose, the edges of its petals shimmering.

"Better than yesterday," she said with a touch of pride.

"At least it won't spontaneously explode now."

Xiao Han nodded, a hint of approval in his eyes. "Progress is swift. But the real learning is just beginning."

"Beginning?" Wanda tilted her head.

Xiao Han looked at her, a slight smile playing on his lips. "You'll see soon enough."

"Let's go to the training room now."

Training Room

Xiao Han and Wanda sat facing each other on meditation mats, the Mind Stone suspended between them, emitting a pale yellow glow.

Wanda stared at the stone, crimson energy dancing at her fingertips, as if drawn by something.

"Chaos Magic resonates naturally with the Mind Stone," Xiao Han said calmly.

"But you must remember, it's just a tool, not the source of power."

Wanda took a deep breath and nodded.

Xiao Han raised his hand, golden magical runes appearing on his fingertips, and gently touched the Mind Stone.

The stone trembled slightly, and its light rippled outward like water, bathing the entire meditation room in a warm yellow glow.

"Close your eyes," Xiao Han said.

"Feel its energy flow, but do not try to control it."

Wanda closed her eyes as instructed. Scarlet energy, like threads, extended from her palms, slowly wrapping around the Mind Stone.

In an instant, her consciousness seemed to be pulled into a vast universe.

Countless fragments of memories flashed by like shooting stars.

Childhood in Sokovia, her parents' smiling faces, the explosions, the darkness under the rubble…

The cold of the Hydra laboratory, Baron Strucker's sneer, the screams of the test subjects…

Xiao Han's figure descended from the sky, heat vision tearing through the darkness, pulling her away from hell…

These memories washed over her consciousness like a tide, but the Mind Stone's energy was like a lighthouse, steadily guiding her.

"Don't resist," Xiao Han's voice echoed from a distant place.

"Let it guide you, don't try to control it."

Wanda's breathing gradually evened out. The scarlet energy of Chaos Magic was no longer raging, but instead flowed like a gentle stream, intertwining with the light of the Mind Stone.
