Growing up, I had never understood what it meant to truly want something. Whatever caught my eye, my father would deliver without question. Golden trinkets as a child, luxury cars when I came of age, everything I could possibly desire materialized before I even realized I wanted it.
When I reached maturity, he started parading women through my chambers. Daughters of noble Alpha bloodlines, stunning Omegas with perfect features and practiced smiles. But beneath their beauty, they were all identical. Empty. Hollow. Just bodies with no fire burning behind their vacant stares.
None of them awakened anything in me. The rut felt less torturous than enduring their transparent advances. Each woman was painfully predictable, either hunting for the Luna position or desperately hoping to carry my heir, using pregnancy as a ladder to climb higher in our pack's social structure.
