In my hands was Rammy, who I found out was still alive after the ritual (lucky him), and the little guy still trusted me even after witnessing all that.
Beyond that, my main problem was the damn stairs. My vision was beginning to blur, and the world felt like it was caving in on me.
'Were the stairs always this long?' I never actually noticed since I always walked down as slowly as possible whenever I decided to move around.
Now it felt like I was running to the top of a skyscraper. My arms burned, and my legs screamed at me to stop. This was hell, at least for me.
During my climb, Alpha had given me a few rules about my abilities. First, I couldn't leave the area surrounding the apartment. According to her, the goddess had linked her divine energy to this area so she could provide me with as much power and support as possible. That meant if I left the Cheongdam-dong district, my abilities would stop working.

"More walking? Really?" I muttered, rising to my feet slowly. My legs ached, but it wasn't as bad as the loneliness in my heart that begged for boo— I mean, warmth. "It's just a few steps."
Gradually, I made my way to my apartment door and pushed it open. After the power grid had been cut off, the door cards stopped functioning. Now that the lights were back on, the system would soon reactivate.
I pushed the door open. When it shut behind me, I heard the soft click of it locking in place. 'It's been so long since I've heard that sound.'
With the lights restored, my room looked even messier than before. I sighed and pushed the clothes to one side as the system chimed in my ear.

I immediately bent down and picked up the hoodie lying at my feet. By the time I blinked, the messy room before me vanished, replaced by a completely spotless apartment.

I shook my head, glancing around at the tidy space from the black curtains covering the view of the ruined world to the spotless floors and chairs. Even my clothes were gone from the floor.
I staggered into my room. It was just as clean, and my clothes were neatly arranged in my walk-in closet.
A soft laugh escaped my lips. The more I saw of what Alpha and the goddess were capable of, the more unreal it felt. Still, using divine powers for cleaning sounded absurd no matter how I thought of it.
I sat on the soft white mattress, which now smelled faintly of lavender. Standing again, I entered my walk-in closet, moved toward the mirror, and stared at my reflection.
