Today, Max and Lily are playing outside in the garden with Bingo. The sun is shining warmly, and bees are buzzing back and forth between the colourful flowers. Bingo is happily chasing a butterfly when suddenly – hiss! – a strange noise echoes across the meadow.
In front of them, in the middle of the flower meadow, a small rocket slowly lands. It glitters and sparkles in all the colours of the rainbow. A gentle steam rises and there is a sweet scent of vanilla and adventure in the air.
Max and Lily can hardly believe their eyes.
'Max... pinch me!' whispers Lily with wide eyes. 'I think I'm dreaming!'
'Ouch!' she cries when Max actually pinches her.
'No, you're not dreaming!' he says quietly. 'It's really there!'
With a soft click, a small door on the rocket opens and a glittering ladder extends out. At the same moment, a friendly, bell-like voice rings out:
'Max and Lily, come with us! We're flying to the dream universe!'
The siblings look at each other, their hearts beating faster. Bingo barks excitedly and wags his tail as if to say, 'Come on, what are you waiting for?'
Max grins. 'Well then, Lily... let's go on an adventure!'
Hand in hand, they climb up the glittering ladder, closely followed by Bingo, who happily hops along behind them.
The rocket looks even more amazing inside than it does from the outside!
Everywhere you look, there are colourful buttons in all the colours of the rainbow – some flash, others sparkle, and some even make little noises when you touch them.
At the front is a huge screen with speakers and on the sides are round windows through which you can see the garden, the house and the whole sky.
The seats are so soft and cosy that they almost look like little rain clouds, and right next to them is a soft, golden plush dog bed – for Bingo, of course.
'Wow!' whispers Lily. 'I've never seen anything so beautiful!'
Bingo sniffs around curiously and wags his tail excitedly.
No sooner have they all sat down than they hear a soft click-clack-click – and suddenly Max, Lily and Bingo are strapped in as if by magic. Three shiny space helmets float down and settle on their heads as if by themselves.
'Ready for take-off!' a cheerful voice booms from the loudspeaker.
