The clang of brandishing swords could be heard, along with shouts in Germanic and Greek—something reminiscent of a Roman epic film from the 1950s and 60s produced in the United States or Western Europe.
Then Captain Giuliano Paolo Bianchi, a marine in the Royal Navy of Italy , asked:
"Why are those Russians speaking proto-german and Greek?" Giuliano asks.
Soon other marines from the Royal Italian Army appeared, and one of them stepped forward and said:
"Captain Paolo, our men shouldn't have gone to that hill where the Russians were. It seems we're in the Middle Ages; perhaps this is our chance to become rich." says one of the marines.
Giuliano then orders his subordinates:
"First-Lieutenant Amadeo, gather the other marines scattered throughout this city, the rest of you come with me!" Giuliano orders.
Of the 15 marines, 10 went with Giuliano, the other 5 followed First-Lieutenant Amadeo.
Then a blue screen appeared in front of him showing about 200 Byzantine soldiers single-handedly defending the walls of Ravenna against 2,500 Lombard soldiers with catapults, then Giuliano orders:
"Come with me, marines! Let's repel the Lombards from Ravenna!" Giuliano orders.
"Yes sir!" say the marines.
Giuliano then led marines to the walls of Ravenna, during which he saw entire houses in flames and bodies everywhere.
When they were about 40 meters away, the gates of Ravenna were broken down by the catapults and several Lombard soldiers stormed the city, But Giuliano unlocked his Beretta ARX200 rifle and orders:
"Fire on the barbarians!" Giuliano orders.
A hail of bullets pierces the iron armor of the Lombards, and terror grips the Lombard army as it retreats from Ravenna.
Giuliano was about to say something when the blue screen reappeared, showing the Lombard soldiers retreating, and the following message appeared.
[ Decisive Victory! ]
[ Lombard army, 2,000 heavy infantry soldiers, 400 archers + 100 catapult operators, led by Theobald of Friuli vs. Byzantine rebels and the San Marco Regiment, led by Captain Giuliano Paolo Bianchi = More than 900 Lombard soldiers killed and the Lombard army traumatized and supplies left in the vicinity of Ravenna.]
Giuliano unlocked his Beretta M9 pistol and said:
"Victoria nostra est." says Giuliano.
