Chapter 2 - What is happening?

You two start talking a lot, so much that you start to forget about Carol. You grow close, just like you once did with her. One day, you notice Carol watching you from afar. She stares for a while, but you ignore her. It feels weird, but after everything that happened, you don't want to talk to her.

Weeks later, you confess your feelings to your new friend—and this time, she actually accepts. Out of nowhere, everyone at school finds out, and soon even Carol knows.

But that's fine. Maybe now she'll stop spying on you during recess since she knows you're taken.

Two years go by, and graduation is just a week away. You're so happy—until you get a message from your girlfriend:

"Babe, we need to talk."

Your stomach drops. Your mind spins with a thousand thoughts, until another message pops up:

"Next week I'm moving to Italy."

You freeze. You're heartbroken. You don't even know how to reply. You just turn off your phone and go to sleep—there's nothing you can do.

At graduation, you see everyone smiling as they get their diplomas. You just try to make the most of your last day with her. When they call your name, you walk up, grab your diploma, and instead of thanking anyone else, you dedicate it to her—thanking her for those two amazing years.

Years pass, and now you're an adult, job hunting. One day, you get a message from a company interested in you. You go to the interview, and—surprise—the interviewer is Carol.

She remembers you immediately after seeing your name. She admits she actually did like you back then, but had just gotten out of a relationship and was afraid of hurting you.

You decide to forgive her. After all, everyone moves on eventually. You get the job, and once again, the two of you grow close. So close that you realize you're falling for her again.

But this time, you're scared to confess your feelings—scared that history will repeat itself. Even though she keeps dropping hints, part of you feels like she's just playing around again.

One day, she invites you out to eat. You go, and have such a great time that you can't hold it in anymore—you tell her you like her. She looks at you with sparkling eyes and says she's been waiting for you to say that. You look into each other's eyes and kiss under the moonlight.

Years go by. You get married, have two kids, and live a comfortable life. One day, you get a notification—great news! A company wants you to be their new CEO.

Everything's going perfectly. Almost too perfectly. Sometimes you even wonder if it's all just your imagination.

And the truth is—it is.

Everything is imagined. In fact, the very first word of this story is "Imagine."

None of it is real. But in your mind, you truly believe that just by liking her photo… all of this could somehow happen.
