Chapter 26 - Chapter 26

It had been a week since I joined Endeavour for the hero case study — on my own terms.

Surprisingly… he agreed. I still didn't know how to feel about that.

Lately, I'd been seeing Fuyumi-san more often at the agency. And then there was Mirko, who contacted me asking for help managing her agency. After thinking it over for a week, I rejected her. My plate was overflowing already… and honestly, it hurt to say no.

So I promised to help only on weekends.

She accepted immediately. Which somehow made it worse.

Ever since coming to this world, there's something I've realized.

Something… embarrassing.

This world is changing, and I can't stop it alone. All Might still trains me from time to time, and after everything—

I've learned one thing about myself.

I'm into older women.

I didn't realize it with Kana — we're the same age, and we're compatible… but after seeing Nana-san… and Mirko… and Fuyumi-san…

Yeah. I prefer older girls. Not MILFs — just older than me. Maybe it's because this body's a teenager. Maybe it's because my previous personality was more reserved.

Canon Izuku ended up with Uraraka, but me?

My ideal type is Nana-san.

If she were alive… I would've proposed without hesitation. Just seeing her now — knowing I can't touch her — hurts more than I'd like to admit.

How long can I keep my feelings bottled?

And now, I'm heading to I-Island with All Might. Most of Class 1-A is already here.

Perfect. Just perfect.

Exactly the events I didn't want to happen… are happening.

Movie villains are a pain in the ass.

Arrival at I-Island

When we arrived, we were greeted by Melissa Shield.

I knew her well — but I pretended not to.

She's even prettier in real life… I thought.

"Oi, brat. How many more? You think girls are fruits in a basket?" Nana scolded.

"Nana-san… I don't have ill intentions like that…"

Melissa blinked at me.

"Um… why are you looking at me like that?"

"A-Ah, sorry. I spaced out. I'm Izuku Midoriya."

"I'm Melissa Shield! Please call me Melissa!"

"Shield… are you related to David Shield?"

"Yes! I'm his daughter."

"Oh, I'm a huge fan of his! The Nobel Prize winner… All Might's sidekick in America… Melissa-san, can you get me his autograph?" I asked, grabbing her arms in excitement.

"…Is ' I'm your fan' your pickup line?" Nana muttered.

"No! I'm genuinely curious about heroes and quirks!"

Melissa giggled. "Okay Izuku kun,. I'll get it for you."

Meeting David Shield

"All Might! What a surprise!" David hugged him tightly.

All Might's face softened with genuine joy.

Then David's eyes moved to me.

"Is he the one you mentioned, Toshinori? Your successor."

My heart stopped.

'All Might TOLD him!? He doesn't even tell that to anyone in canon!'

"He's my student," All Might said proudly. "And One For All's successor."

David blinked. "Already? You really found someone worthy then. Kid, how much can you use?"

"45% without support items, 60% with the ones from UA," I answered.

David stared. "Toshi broke bones at 10%. You're one hell of a monster, kid."

Then he smiled. "Melissa, show him around. I'll catch up with Toshi."

"Okay, Papa!" she said — grabbing my hand and not letting go.

Her fingers intertwined with mine like we were eloping.

…Not that I hate it.

She dragged me around the I-Expo, still holding my hand.

"What quirk did you have before OFA?" Melissa asked.

"I used to be quirkless."

Her eyes widened.

"That's a coincidence! I'm quirkless too. Guess we share a secret… and a connection."

Her fingers tightened around mine, and she leaned closer.

…I'm sorry, world. Your favorite hero is no longer single. I belong to this girl now.

I leaned in—

Until a chilling voice froze my soul.

"You seem to be having fun, Izuku-kun."

Toru.

And beside her… Momo.

Oh no. Oh no no no—

Momo crossed her arms. "As expected, Midoriya-kun. Quite the charmer."

Toru stared at our interlocked fingers like she was witnessing a murder.

"What's your relationship with Izuku-kun?" Toru asked.

"We're close friends with lots of secrets," Melissa answered sweetly.

"I don't want misunderstandings… I already have a bad rep with girls," I muttered.

"Maybe they're jealous," Melissa said. "Since you're so handsome… I might steal you."

I tried to pull my hand away.

She held tighter.

Toru snapped.

She charged at us — and suddenly the three of us were falling off the building.

"I told you! If I saw you with another girl I would kill you!" Toru screamed. She became fully visible — tear-streaked, furious.

"You promised! You said no other girls until high school ends! And now you're with this HOMEWRECKER!"

Melissa wrapped her arms around me protectively.

"Homewrecker!? Izuku-kun is my destiny, you crazy bitch—!"

"You bitch! Let go of him! I'd rather we die together!"

They kept fighting while falling.

I casually activated Float.

We landed safely.

Both girls squared up.

"Izuku-kun is mine! Go rot somewhere, homewrecker!" Toru yelled.

"You bitch! Izuku-kun is my soulmate!" Melissa shot back.

"Calm down—"

"YOU SHUT UP!"

They spoke in perfect sync.

Nana sighed. "There's a special place in hell for boys like you."

"Nana-san, please help me…"

"You know what we called girls like them? Yandere. These are the dangerous ones. If you resist, they get worse."

Yandere? In this economy?

I turned to them prompting them to look at me.

"Toru… Melissa… I'm sorry."

Toru froze.

"About the promise… I take it back. I shouldn't have made it. I was wrong."

Melissa blinked.

Toru's voice cracked as she clung to him.

"I–I love you! I don't care if you're the number one hero someday or all might son… I just want you to love me."

Melissa stepped forward, face pink but eyes firm.

"I feel the same. Izuku, please… choose me. Or at least, hear me out."

Izuku froze. His brain completely bluescreened.

TWO confessions.

At the same time.

He swallowed, heart hammering so hard even Float felt unstable.

"L–Listen… Both of you…" he said, lifting his hands. "I-I… can't answer right now. I don't want to hurt either of you by rushing it."

Their eyes widened.

"So… please…"

Izuku inhaled deeply.

"Give me one week. One week to think properly. I'll give you my answer after that."

Melissa bit her lip, surprised by how serious his tone was.

"A week…? Okay. I can wait."

But her fists trembled slightly.

Toru wiped her eyes and nodded fast.

"A week… I'll wait too. Just… don't avoid me, okay?"

Her voice shook, but she forced a smile.

Izuku exhaled slowly, shoulders dropping with relief.

"Thank you… both of you."

Momo watched with wide eyes.

'Is this real? I know Midoriya-kun is strong and handsome… but two girls… I didn't want to make Hagakure sad so I suppressed my feelings… did I do wrong? Should I have upfront with my feelings too..I liked him from the beginning too…' Momo thought, holding back her emotions.

Her mood brightened when she saw Izuku give both girls a chance.

'I still have a chance…' Momo thought.

The tension eased. No dramatic meltdowns. No more rooftop near-death moments.

At least for today.

Night fell quietly over I-Island.

The city lights reflected softly off the ocean, glowing like drifting stars.

Izuku stood on the balcony of his guest room, leaning forward on the railing, the cool breeze brushing against his face.

His mind replayed everything.

Toru's trembling confession.

Melissa's determined promise.

Their faces when he asked for time.

His own heart beating like a quirk-powered drum.

"…What am I even supposed to do?" he whispered.

Izuku Midoriya was just a confused, overthinking nerd who kept attracting chaos by accident.

"Why me…?" he muttered.

A soft shimmer appeared beside him.

Nana.

Floating gently, arms crossed, giving him that teasing-senpai look.

"You really know how to collect trouble, don't you, kid?" she chuckled.

Izuku sighed.

"Nana san… please don't start."

"I'm not starting anything," she said, leaning beside him. "Just checking up. You looked like someone told you All Might retired again."

Izuku rubbed the back of his neck.

"It's just… I don't know what the right choice is."

Nana's expression softened.

"There is no perfect choice. Only the one you can live with."

Izuku looked down at his hands.

The hands that saved people.

And somehow made girls cry and confess.

He stayed there a long moment, listening to the ocean.

The week had begun.

And he already knew it wouldn't be a peaceful one.

The week had begun.

And I had no idea…

that coming week on the expo would be even worse.
