Adrian's POV:
Was she about to expose herself like that in front of me?
My heart pounds heavily in my chest. Jesus Christ. I'm really going to kill Marco.
"Put me down," Elena whines in my arms.
"You need to cool down," I say, pulling her closer to me as I head out of the room.
Her body feels so fucking warm and soft against mine.
She stops fighting now, instead wrapping her arms around my neck, and burying her face in my chest.
My chest heaves up and down unevenly as I take in deep, unsteady breaths. She's so fucking close to me. And I know that she's not in her right state of mind, but fuck, she's making things really hard for me right now.
As we reach our own room, I push open the door with one hand, shutting it with a small kick. Then I head straight for the bathroom.
I set her down on the counter, leaning her against the wall and making sure she's steady before I move to run the bath.
