Chapter 63 - Chapter 63: Gato - Cat.

"And that's it, this is the last suitcase."

William closed the last of Enid's suitcases and placed it next to the rest, each one brightly coloured and covered in stickers, cartoon characters, pretty things, or werewolf movies.

"I'm surprised you brought so many things."

William sat down on the bed, where only the mattress remained. The colourful sheets and numerous stuffed animals had been sent to Enid's house, as had most of her personal furniture, which was moved to the Nevermore warehouse, where it would be placed again the following year in the next room designated for Enid.

"All of this is necessary. I have to change my outfit every time I go out. Fashion is a girl's life."

Enid crossed her arms and lifted her chin.

"Do you have to leave first?"

William opened his arms towards Enid.

"My parents will be here in a few hours and my brothers have everything ready to go. What about you?"

Enid sat naturally on William's lap and wrapped her arms around his neck, resting her head on his chest.

"They should be arriving tonight. I wanted to introduce you to them..."

William's words stopped when he felt something wet on his chest. He knew instantly what it was.

"We'll see each other during the holidays. I'll come visit you, and I've just realised that I don't like to see you cry."

William gently lifted Enid's chin. Her beautiful blue eyes were glazed with tears.

"You're going to make me not want to let you go!"

It was the first time William had seen Enid cry since he met her. Not even the full moons, when she was unable to transform, had made Enid shed tears.

"This is the first time I've seen you cry."

William caressed Enid's eyelids with the side of his finger.

"I used to cry when I couldn't change like my brothers or when I wasn't accepted by the furs..."

"Why did you stop crying..."

"Because I met you... and you accepted me as I was!"

Enid's words were filled with emotion, and tears welled up again and rolled down her cheeks.

William felt pain in his chest, and it wasn't physical.

"I can say with certainty that you are the first person I truly love... although I don't know if that gives you any comfort."

"Hehehe, of course it's nice to know that you feel the same way I do..."

Enid let out an adorable laugh that sounded like silver bells.

"It's strange to see you indecisive, you're always brimming with confidence." - Enid -

"I'm not good at this, but do you want to do something fun... like, I don't know, dance with me." - William -

"Of course, Will, you have to practise. Next year we'll go to the Raven together, and I don't want to spend the whole night sitting on the sidelines!"

Enid smiled broadly, her eyes narrowing with happiness. The sunlight made her blonde hair shine, along with her blue and pink highlights, and cute dimples decorated her cheekbones.

Enid got up and took William's hands to the centre of the room, deftly connecting her Smart Watch to her music player, and the favourite pop music of the Nevermore rainbow began to fill the room.

(Bershy - Radio)

(𝄞 I wake up exhausted, even in the morning - Like I'm made out of decaf, I'm barely running - Oh, and I hate parties - It's just too many bodies 𝄞)

Enid spun and moved to the rhythm of the music, her short hair flying from side to side, and William did his best to keep up with her, a smile on his lips.

(𝄞 And I'm my own person, not like I need protеction - It's just that I wanna change and go in your direction 𝄞)

The song was infectious, William and Enid couldn't help but move closer and closer to each other, their movements delicate and rhythmic. Enid gently caressed William's face and he caressed her slim waist with his hand.

(𝄞 God, you're a laser beam - You're all my teen dreams - And if I knew you in school, you'd be too cool for me 𝄞)

"Maybe this song has a message for me ~"

Enid raised both arms above her head and clasped her hands together while shaking her head. She had closed her eyes to enjoy the moment.

William's palms gently held Enid's waist and he whispered softly in her ear.

"Maybe ~"

Enid whispered as her ears turned red and she felt her heart pound with excitement. Multiple images of the two of them having a good time popped uncontrollably into her mind.

(Then I met you and my eyes changed - And now you're in my eye range, I'm gunning for you - You changed my heart in a big way)

"I still remember it like it was yesterday when we shared an ice cream, when we kissed in the park, or when we first saw each other in front of Ophelia Hall" (Enid)

"Don't forget that time on the bus..."

William smiled. She was more important to him than he realised. She was the first person with whom he felt at home, when he didn't have a single real connection in this new world.

"When you mistook me for Xavier."

Enid let out a small laugh. It had taken a lot of courage for her to sit next to him that day, next to the handsome boy who attracted attention just by walking in front of people.

(𝄞 Up, up, up, up - When I get down, when I get down - When I get - Up, up, up, up 𝄞)

At this point, they were both sitting still, looking at each other, waiting to see who would make the first move.

The answer was both of them. They hugged each other tightly and their lips came into intimate contact.

She sat on his lap, her eyes fixed on his blue eyes, her soft hands running over his white jumper and then touching his muscles.

Their excitement was at its peak, to the point that Enid's nails threatened to expand at any moment and William's tattoos threatened to show through his skin.

A line of saliva dripped down William's chin, his fingers traced Enid's flat, smooth belly while his other hand caressed her bum. Today was a rare day when Enid decided to wear tight trousers over a long, loose-fitting blouse.

"Mmmmm!!!"

Enid let out a sweet moan when she felt William's fingers squeeze her body with some force.

Several minutes passed and the couple lost themselves in each other so much that they didn't hear the door open.

"Wow, leave a sign on the door or something."

"How intense."

Yoko wanted to close the door immediately, but Divina wanted to take a closer look.

"Enough."

Yoko pulled Divina's arm and closed the door.

"Let's go."

"Where? Didn't you want to rest before he comes to pick you up?"

"We have to distract Thornhill."

"You're right, he usually does his rounds at this time. It would be a problem if he found him in the girls' dormitory."

"Find me who, girls?"

An optimistic and cheerful voice interrupted Divina. She and Yoko turned around at the same time. The Botany Professor was standing right in front of them, holding a disposable cup of coffee and smiling broadly.

"No one."

Yoko walked discreetly right in front of her room door.

"Are you nervous? Is there something you don't want me to see in the room, or someone?"

Thornhill adjusted her glasses and walked towards Yoko, ignoring Divina and passing by her.

"No one from Ophelia Hall would dare bring a boy into their dorm room on the last day of school. That would be ridiculous, RIGHT?!"

The last part of Divina's words were practically a clear shout in the silent hallway. Thornhill ignored Divina's strangeness and shamelessly opened the door to the room.

"Is something wrong, Professor Thornhill...?"

Enid was standing in the middle of the room with her hands behind her back.

Enid was wearing an extra layer of clothing, a jumper that was clearly not her size.

"I just wanted to see if you forgot anything."

Thornhill turned her attention away from Enid and scanned the room, her boots making a sharp thud against the floor.

First she checked under the bed, behind the curtains and, of course, behind the door, but she couldn't find anything.

"Your neck...!"

Divina whispered softly and pointed to her neck. Enid quickly adjusted the neck of her jumper, hiding the hickey on her neck.

"Are you all right, Miss Sinclair? You seem a little agitated."

Finding nothing unusual in the room, Thornhill turned his attention to Enid, who was breathing heavily.

"I was practising dancing."

"I heard the music, I think there's no problem, I'll see you later, don't forget anything and see you next year."

 *¡clap!* *clap!* *¡clap*

Thornhill's rubber boots headed for the next room.

*Sigh of relief*

"Where's Will?"

Enid breathed a sigh of relief, Divina closed the door and slid into it until she was sitting on the floor, Yoko sat down on her bed naturally.

Enid didn't have to answer when the head of a small, fluffy white cat emerged from the neck of her jumper. William had hidden inside Enid's jumper.

William came out of his hiding place, but not before playfully licking Enid's skin.

"I don't think he likes it."

Divina tried to stifle a laugh when she saw the little kitten scrunch up his face at the tug on his ears that Enid was giving him.

"If he wasn't so naughty, nothing would happen to him."
