Faced with Shannon's shocked expression and everyone else's confusion, I repeated my question.
"How is your biological mother, Suzie?"
Edwin was the first to speak. Or rather, to shout.
"What are you talking about, Clarissa? Don't come here and cause chaos out of nowhere!"
Darren came to his senses and immediately stopped Edwin. He knew Richard wasn't standing there just for decoration.
"The Healer," Darren said politely, though his tone carried thinly veiled mockery and sarcasm.
"Despite our past mistakes, you shouldn't create trouble within our family."
"No one is trying to cause trouble, Alpha Green," I replied casually, deliberately adding the title.
His expression twitched at my calm response.
"I'm simply asking about your family," I continued.
"Shannon's biological mother is clearly part of your family, right? After all, even if you have different mothers, you still share the same biological father."
My nonchalant tone did not match the effect of my words.
