Chapter 15 - Onwards! Gran Tesoro

A few days later-

Nagato, Enel, and Kisame dropped onto a pirate ship, having spent the last few hours flying across the world.

The reaction was instant—panic, shouting, weapons drawn.

Kisame cut the first man down with a single swing. Enel stabbed straight through another with a bolt of lightning. Nagato crushed several at once with Shinra Tensei.

Within moments, the ship was silent except for the groans of the few survivors who hadn't been killed.

Nagato grabbed one of them by the skull with invisible force, the man kicking uselessly in the air.

Memories flooded Nagato's mind as he read the man's soul.

He only paid attention to their orders and destination.

He dropped the body without interest.

"They're a subordinate crew of Donquixote Doflamingo," Nagato said.

Kisame cracked his neck. "One of the warlords you mentioned earlier? That explains why these weaklings thought they were safe."

Nagato stepped to another dying pirate, placing two fingers on his forehead, and drawing out his soul to scan his memories.

"They were on their way to a devil fruit auction," Nagato continued. "Held on Gran Tesoro."

Enel raised an eyebrow. "Gran Tesoro?"

Nagato nodded.

"It's a massive golden ship, nobles and rich folk go there to indulge themselves. It's known as the city of entertainment."

"They're planning on purchasing a devil fruit there"

Kisame's grin widened.

"A whole island of rich idiots hoarding devil fruits? Perfect. Maybe this time I'll get to see Itachi again."

Nagato got back onto the bird, the other two following.

"Let's move."

"Gran Tesoro will be our next target."

---------------------------

A few hours later, the towering form of Gran Tesoro came into view, shimmering like a beacon in the New World. As Nagato, Enel, and Kisame stepped off onto the polished gold deck, the crowds parted instinctively—whispers spreading like wildfire at their arrival.

They didn't bother hiding. They walked openly, confidently.

And soon enough, Gild Tesoro himself appeared.

He wore his usual confident smile, but this time the expression held something Nagato wasn't expecting. His eyes showed respect and even a bit of awe.

"Welcome to Gran Tesoro," he said, voice smooth but carrying a surprising amount of sincerity. "Nagato. Enel. Kisame. I've heard your names echoing across the seas."

Kisame grinned. Enel smirked. Nagato remained silent, watching Tesoro with unreadable eyes.

Tesoro stepped closer, lowering his voice.

"I know what you've done," he said. "I know what you've started."

His eyes hardened—just for a moment.

Then he straightened and gestured subtly with a hand.

"Walk with me."

Without waiting, Tesoro turned and led them through the gleaming corridors, past the noise of the casinos and the music. But the deeper they went, the quieter Gran Tesoro became—until the sound of celebration faded entirely.

They reached a sealed, heavily protected lift, and Tesoro pressed his palm to a golden panel. The doors slid open, revealing a private elevator descending into the heart of the ship.

He stepped inside.

"This isn't a conversation for public ears," he said.

Nagato, Enel, and Kisame followed him in silence.

Moments later, the elevator opened into Tesoro's private residence—a distant world from the gold-covered public halls. No bright walls, no flashing lights. Just a quiet suite decorated with soft colors, and a single framed photo placed carefully on a table: a young woman smiling, frozen in time.

Tesoro's voice softened, but it carried steel beneath.

"I brought you here because I understand your mission more than most."

He turned, facing them fully now.

"The Celestial Dragons took everything from me. My freedom. My future. My wife."

A small silence passed.

Kisame crossed his arms. Enel tilted his head. Nagato simply waited.

Tesoro inhaled slowly and continued:

"You killed one. Then you erased his entire bloodline. You're even strong enough to beat those admirals who act like the dogs of celestial dragons." His lips curled, not in disgust, but something dangerously close to admiration. "You're doing what everyone else is too afraid to even dream of."

"So tell me," he said. "What do you want from Gran Tesoro?"

Nagato answered calmly.

"Devil Fruits."

Tesoro paused—then let out a small laugh.

"That's all?"

He snapped his fingers. A group of attendants rushed forward with sealed golden cases.

"I have several," Tesoro said. "Acquired, stolen, traded… collected over years. If what you seek is power, then allow me to contribute."

Kisame blinked. "You're just handing them over?"

Tesoro's smile widened, but this time there was no smugness behind it.

"No. I'm investing."

He stepped closer, looking Nagato directly in the eye.

"Continue what you're doing. Keep destroying the Celestial Dragons. And I will give you power, resources, ships, information, funds—whatever you need."

Enel let out a low whistle. "This is a smart human."

Nagato studied Tesoro for a long, quiet moment.

Then nodded once.

"Very well. We accept your offer."

Tesoro exhaled, a genuine relief crossing his face.

"Then consider Gran Tesoro an ally of- what do you guys call yourselves?" he paused to ask.

Kisame chuckled, while Enel seemed thoughtful. Nagato's silently said

"We are the Akatsuki."

Tesoro laughed

"What a fitting name! Then from today onwards, consider the Gran tesoro an ally of the Akatsuki."

A new alliance had been formed.

One that would shake the foundations of the world.

----------------------

Nagato was now staring at the cases of devil fruit laying before him.

6 Total. Enough to summon 6 members. Although most of the Akatsuki had already died in his world by time he got transported to this one.

Nagato reached for the first fruit. If my theory is right… these should give me enough power to bring new members into this world. But he had no way of knowing who. He was secretly hoping that the masked man claiming to be Madara wouldn't be summoned.

He crushed the fruit in his hand—chakra surging out in a burst of violet light.

The air warped. Something formed.

Nagato's eyes widened.

A figure slammed onto the marble floor, coughing.

"…Deidara?" Nagato whispered. Shock punched through him. "But—you died. In our world."

Deidara blinked up at him. "Rinnegan? Where the hell am I—? Why am I alive again, un?!"

"I'll explain in a bit."

Nagato stepped back, staring at his own hands. That summoned an already dead person.

He hesitated—but reached for the second fruit anyway.

It dissolved under his touch, and the energy begin forming into another figure.

This time, a scream:

"WHOEVER—DID—THAT—I'M GONNA—"Hidan materialized mid-rant, looking freshly pissed off.

Nagato's stared calmly, less suprised this time. "Hidan""

Hidan looked around. "Wait. I'm alive? Oh, this is sick. Those eyes.. the leaders rinnegan?"

Nagato didn't answer. His heartbeat was thudding now—confusion turning sharp.

He paused before the third fruit. If the pattern held…But he still couldn't believe it.

He broke the fruit.

Dark tendrils spread across the room—and Kakuzu stepped out of the shadow.

"Who are you?" His voice was dangerously calm. "Explain why I am breathing again."

Nagato said "I… don't know. As for who I am, I am the controller behind pain. Pain was merely a puppet controlled with my chakra. My name is Nagato. I'll explain everything in a few minutes"

He moved on to the fourth fruit, hands trembling just slightly.

Crows circled around, building into a figure.

"Itachi."The name escaped him before he could stop it.

Itachi looked around slowly. "It seem's I've been resurrected. This doesn't seem like edo tensei however. His gaze locked onto Nagato and he seemed to figure something out, so he remained quiet."

Nagato moved on to the next fruit.

The fifth fruit cracked open, strings materialized out of air and wove together, forming Sasori, in his true puppet form, rather than hiding inside Hiruko.

"Back in a living world again…" he murmured. "How curious."

Nagato stepped toward the final fruit, breath unsteady. Five dead shinobi… resurrected by complete accident. "These eyes can not only summon from another world.. but revive people to summon them.. and what's more It's not draining on my chakra at all."

He grasped the last fruit

It glowed and then broke apart into pieces of paper that slowly gathered into a person.

Konan.

As soon as she appeared her eyes met Nagato's—warm, disbelieving, almost pained.

"Nagato…" She reached toward him. "How am I here? Madara killed me after you vanished."

He didn't answer, however his eyes widened with fury after hearing that. He couldn't, he himself didn't know it would summon those who had already died.

Six Devil Fruits. Six random summons.

Nagato stood among them, his brain working quickly as he processed this new information.

-----------

A few minutes later Nagato calmed down and begun to explain to everyone.

"My name is Nagato Uzumaki. Pain was merely a puppet I controlled. This isn't the shinobi world, however I still want to cleanse it. I won't force any of you to continue working with me, however I ask that none of you get in the way either."

Itachi, Kisame and Konan already decided to stick with them, while Hidan, Kakazu, Deidara all wanted to know more about the world before choosing.

Sasori however made a request. "If I stay, will leader help me secure materials for my puppets?"

Nagato nodded. "Just like in our old world, the Akatsuki will be a place where we rogues can coexist. I won't be putting strict limitations on anyone, and will help with anything within my power as long as it's not a dumb request." He glanced at Hidan after saying that.

"Hey! I do not make dumb requests. I only want to worship lord Jashin!"

Nagato smiled slightly and then continued.

"This world is full of evil, perhaps even worse than our old world. There is an organization called the World Government that controls most of the world. However that organization is extremely corrupt, and I intend to tear it down."

Kakazu said gruffly "As long as I get to make a lot of money I'll stick around."

Deidara simply said "It sounds like you're giving me the perfect chance to shock a world with my art! I'll stay as well."

Sasori also agreed to stay.

Hidan seeing everyone else agree said "ah what the heck! as long as I get to kill and sacrifice to lord Jashin, I don't care whether im here or on my own, so I'll stay."

Nagato finally showed a slightly bigger smile.

"Then from now on, the Akatsuki is reestablished in this world.

He then gestured towards Enel who was on his side

"This is Enel, and he will be the second in command, meaning if I'm occupied or ever become uncontactable, you'll listen to him. I recruited him in this world."

Everyone stared at Enel doubtfully, but decided to trust Nagato's judgement.
