The past three months had flown by, and Zane couldn't help but acknowledge the impressive progress his comrades had made. As he strolled through the quiet halls of Capsule Corp, he thought to himself, 'It's been three months, and they've made great improvements. Gohan joins from time to time, though his mom has him focusing on studies... Just like the anime. Guess I haven't changed things that much. Wait, why the hell am I recapping? Or was I narrating?'
Shaking his head, he stepped outside into the backyard. There, in the distance, stood a new dome-like building, the gravity chamber Bulma had constructed. 'Thank God I managed to convince Bulma to make it,' Zane thought with a smirk. He had finally gotten the luxury of having a proper training ground for Goku and Vegeta. He walked toward it, the air still cool from the morning breeze.
Inside, Vegeta and Goku were in the middle of a sparring session, their bodies moving fluidly under 150x gravity. Zane observed for a moment, a grin tugging at his lips as he watched the intensity of their fight. Their punches and kicks were powerful, but the gravity seemed to weigh them down, making their movements slow. However, Zane could still sense the raw energy building within them.
Zane clapped his hands, the sharp sound cutting through the air. Both Goku and Vegeta froze mid-action, looking over at him. Goku was the first to speak, his face lighting up in a wide grin. "Hey Zane! You're here. What's up?"
Zane walked toward them with a cocky smile, his arms crossing as he spoke. "I think it's time you two transform," he said, his voice carrying authority. "You've both grown a lot in power, and now transforming will give you the best benefits. So, tell me, do you feel anything? Like a strange sensation at the back of your mind, a feeling telling you to unleash something or like you can't hold back anymore?"
Goku scratched his chin, his brow furrowed in thought. "Now that you mention it... I do feel this... anger, like it's bubbling up inside me. It's kind of hard to control."
Vegeta grunted, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, I feel it too. That damn feeling."
Zane smirked, knowing this was the moment they'd been waiting for. "Alright, then. I think you're ready. To transform into a Super Saiyan, you have to be really mad, like pissed off to the point that you can't control it." Zane clenched his fists, raising them to his hips, and his eyes turned cold as he added, "You have to gather all that rage and energy inside you, and then... let it burst out."
Suddenly, Zane's golden aura erupted, surrounding him in a brilliant light. His hair spiked up, turning a bright gold, his eyes flashing green as energy crackled around him. He roared, his voice deep and powerful as the room shook with the force of his transformation.
"Just like that," Zane said, his voice calm yet filled with intensity. "But remember, the key is pure rage. That's what fuels the transformation. Now think about something that pisses you off, something that makes you want to burst out in anger. Gather all that energy, and let it out."
Goku's eyes narrowed as he thought about the idea. "Something that makes me mad... Well, I guess if my family or friends get hurt and I can't do anything, that would really piss me off."
Zane nodded approvingly. "Good, but remember, it has to piss you off to your core, to the point you can't hold it back. Now, try it."
Goku closed his eyes, focusing all his thoughts and energy on the idea of losing those he loved. The room was silent as he drew in a deep breath, then exhaled sharply, his aura flickering and growing in intensity. His eyes went wide, and a vein popped on his forehead as the power built up inside him. With a roar that shook the chamber, golden energy exploded around him. His hair turned a brilliant shade of gold, and his eyes changed to green.
He stood there, radiating energy and power, his body vibrating with raw strength. "Super Saiyan!" Goku gasped, his voice filled with awe. "I did it! This power... It's incredible!"
Vegeta stepped back in shock, his pride pricked as he stared at Goku in disbelief. "Impossible," he muttered. "Kakarot... managed to go Super Saiyan?"
Goku clenched his fists, his energy surging. "I can feel it. My power is skyrocketing! This is amazing!"
Vegeta, still seething, gritted his teeth. "I will not lose to you, Kakarot!" he snarled, his anger flaring. He began charging up, his energy rising as his aura flickered with golden sparks. The room shook with the intensity of his power, and with a roar, his hair spiked up, turning golden. His eyes changed to green as he, too, was engulfed in a golden aura.
"I've done it!" Vegeta laughed, looking at his arm and flexing it. "I, Prince Vegeta, have become a Super Saiyan, a warrior of legend, the most powerful being in the universe!"
Zane smirked, crossing his arms. "Well done, everyone," he said, his voice calm despite the overwhelming power around them.
Goku, now in his Super Saiyan form, grinned, sweat trickling down his face. "This transformation, it feels like a lot of energy is being used up. Is this normal?"
Zane chuckled, shaking his head. "It will start out that way, but the longer you stay in the form and train, the more accustomed to it you'll become. Eventually, you'll be able to maintain the transformation without losing all that energy. When you master Super Saiyan, you'll be able to move on to even greater power."
Vegeta's expression hardened. "What do you mean? This is Super Saiyan! There's nothing greater than this."
Zane's smirk grew, and with a confident stance, he powered up once again. His golden aura erupted around him, but this time, it was fiercer, more violent. Sparks of lightning danced around his body as his hair spiked even more, the energy surrounding him becoming more intense. His eyes glowed with even more power as he looked at the two of them.
"This," Zane said, his voice filled with authority, "is Super Saiyan 2. A transformation that goes beyond the limits of the original. It's the next step, the next goal for both of you."
Goku and Vegeta watched in awe as Zane's power intensified, feeling the pressure of the transformation. Goku's eyes widened. "Wow. I can feel it. You've gotten so much stronger!"
Zane nodded, his confidence unwavering. "Super Saiyan is a 50x multiplier to your power. But Super Saiyan 2 is a 100x multiplier. It's a whole new level of power."
Vegeta frowned, his pride not allowing him to stay silent. "But... wouldn't the energy drain be even worse?"
Zane grinned. "For you guys, yeah. But I've mastered this form, so it's no problem for me." He powered down to his base form and, in an instant, transformed into Super Saiyan 2 again, showing them just how easily he could maintain the form. "I did this to show you firsthand."
Goku smiled widely, clearly excited. "Alright, I'll double my training and reach your level, Zane! Then we can have a real match!"
Vegeta scoffed, crossing his arms. "Not if I get there first, Kakarot."
Zane laughed. "Now that you both have the transformation, I'll train with you so you can get used to it."
He instantly transformed into Super Saiyan and took his stance. "Let's go."
