"…"

'Wait, I think am forgetting something… Well, whatever.'

Zane threw all other thoughts aside for the moment.

This system was somewhat intriguing.

Just the name itself made his thoughts run wild.

But thinking about it, the current state of the world seemed in line with some future supernatural or religious apocalypse.

But that was not as important as the things he received from the newbie package.

Zane rubbed his hands expectantly praying to a dozen gods before starting his gacha draws… I mean, before opening his kits.

He started with the most obvious one, the system kit.

[System Kit

Congratulations for acquiring the Feature: Unlimited Storage.

Congratulations for acquiring the Function: Inventory.

Congratulations for acquiring the Function: System Mall.]

"…"

Zane didn't know where to start. But before he started complaining, a surge of information flooded his brain forcing him to understand everything instantly.

System mall was the easiest to explain. It was essentially and store where he could buy and sell things using points.

Points were also pretty straightforward. Sell things to earn points, use points to buy things. Simple.

Don't ask who was buying or selling. The system decided the value of things sold.

That said, there is a bit of a difference from a conventional system store.

Let's say Zane sold a bag of chips to the store and bought it back, the exact bag of chips would be still listed and he could keep buying them till kingdom come.

In short, this was more of an infinite supply function than anything.

That said, the system would only offer points for his specific sale. Any other subsequent purchases had nothing to do with him.

But just this was enough to make Zane ecstatic.

Just thinking about the infinite possibilities this one function opened for him made him relax all over.

The other function was the Inventory.

It worked exactly like in the video games with a 9x9 grid that expanded infinitely with each page filled.

Whatever you placed in would remain exactly the same till you took it out.

Zane being a certified weeb could think of a million things to do with just this one feature.

And then there is the Unlimited Storage feature.

This is where you have to know the difference between functions and features.

Functions were essentially basic parts of the system. Things that it was meant to do regardless.

Features on the other hand were little niceties that Zane could enjoy but their presence or absence did not affect the functioning of the system.

And Unlimited Storage was one such perk.

It allowed Zane to store anything that he owned or could pick up.

But little restriction did little to take away from the term unlimited. Especially since he could store living things inside and the space itself had no end.

Indeed, Zane could somehow sense it.

Unlike Inventory which required Zane to operate a system screen to store things, Zane could intuitively control Unlimited Storage freely within his range of senses.

This meant that he could store anything within his line of sight.

If you factor in telescopes…

Zane felt a rush and hurriedly went to open the other kit before his imagination got the better of him.

He still needed to experiment and it was best not to get too carried away too early.

[Survival Kit

Congratulations for acquiring the Extreme Apocalypse Underground Shelter.

Congratulations for acquiring the Extreme Apocalypse Doomsday Chariot.

Congratulations for acquiring the Extreme Apocalypse Multipurpose Combat Suit.]

"…"

This time, Zane was truly speechless.

Looking at the floating holograms in front of him, he did not know what kind of expression he should put on.

The Extreme Apocalypse Underground Shelter was indeed quite a draw.

It had a hundred underground levels and a ten-story façade above ground that he could customize to his every whim.

Hell, he could create different biomes on every floor no problem.

But… where the fuck was he supposed to put this thing?

A ten-story building popping out of nowhere would attract everyone's attention.

As for the hundred levels underground, that was not a problem. Something about separate spaces and dimensions. Complex stuff that he did not need nor want to understand.

The Extreme Apocalypse Doomsday Chariot was another equally bizarre vehicle.

This thing could transform to any kind of mode of transportation. From tiny skates to galaxy sized starships.

The only thing is that it must first get a sample to scan before transforming.

Now here lay the problem.

The original form of the chariot was bigger than an eighteen-wheeler truck with cannons and turrets everywhere.

Its rugged design was quiet the sight. Enough to attract every other eye.

Where in god's name was he supposed to take this thing out.

The Extreme Apocalypse Multipurpose Combat Suit was not any better.

You'd think that a combat suit meant for an ordinary human like him would be something akin to a form fitting latex jumpsuit.

But no, it just had to be a 3-meter-tall exoskeleton.

Let's not even start with its extreme femto-scale materials that made the whole thing a living mecha, just it mere appearance was enough to have all major power hunting him down to acquire alien technology.

Good thing it could also scan local dresses to transform and disguise itself.

Zane quietly closed the projections.

These were things that needed careful consideration before he used them.

Taking a deep breath to calm his nerves, he secretly glanced at Sophie wondering why she hadn't left yet.

Her shift was already over but this chick did not seem to be in any hurry.

Did she know just how much pressure he was in just staying next to her?

*Sigh*

Zane went back to his system panel without saying anything.

He was weak. No human rights at all.
