Sirens
Ambulance sounds
The paramedics wrapped the body with a black nylon and carried it away while the members of the oracle just watched. Amir was beside his boss watching the horror scene, martin on the other hand was fuming with enough anger to power a nuclear cell.
"Sir, this was all we found" one of the officers in the hotel room said
He handed the governor a folded piece of paper marked with a purple snake. The governor took it with trembling hands and opened it to read
"Attack my men again and you'll loose everything you love. I'm watching you and the oracle"
Martins froze then angrily ripped the paper into pieces
"Find out how they were able to get in here without security noticing" he fumed
"Sir we've checked the CCTV camera, we couldn't even see their faces" the officer said frustrated
"Useless, you all are useless!" He shouted
The officer just kept quiet while his men covered the crime scene with yellow tapes and took pictures for evidence. Ada who was the first person to be informed of Luna's death was shaking inside, she went closer to martin and whispered
"He's out to get us not just the city"
Martin just ignored her. He wasn't just worried about Luna's death but also about how this could affect his ties with the south African government. They'd surely ask for an explanation on how their ambassador died.
Everyone was still in their thoughts when the door gently opened and Ola walked in looking anxious
"What is it? I told you to stay in the car" Martin asked
"Um sir, there's a herd of journalist outside waiting to hear your thoughts on the death of ambassador Luna" she rapped out
"Those mingling monkeys, can't i get any rest from them?" He gritted his teeth
"Well there's no other way out of the hotel so you have to face them" Ola said in her a sad voice though she was secretly enjoying the chaos.
After directing the officers on what to do with Luna's body, the governor and his aids walked out of the room.
Outside the press were swarming like bees ready to pepper the governor with questions. As soon as they saw the governor and his aids walking out of the hotel, they rushed towards him while the security guards tried to push them away
"Governor, is it true that the south African ambassador, Mrs Luna is really dead?" One of the journalists asked pushing her mic into the governor's face
"Back away please" the security guards said
"Yes and as always i promise to get to the bottom of this case" the governor said
"Sir, is the purple Lagoon connected with her death?" Another asked
The governor kept mute
"Sir who's next on the list, because it seems like they're now targeting government officials?" Another one with bald head asked
The governor was now sweating, Ola on the other hand was busy enjoying the moment
"Sir what about the toxins that was sprayed yesterday? What's your say on that?" The questions kept coming
"Please enough questions" Amir yelled and quickly rushed the governor to his car, the press chased after them
"Sir what's your connection with the purple Lagoon?"
The governor quickly got into his car with Ola and Tunde who has been quiet throughout the scene. Amir got into the front seat and drove off quickly
"Oh God" the governor breathed "Amir don't take me back to the official building"
"Okay sir, where are we going then?" Amir asked still driving
"Aurora's place"

Aurora's pov
"...the recent attacks on Lagos city is really alarming, the purple Lagoon is out to get everyone including international agencies like our south African ambassador who was found dead in her hotel room last night.."
"What the hell?" I shouted before I could stop myself
We were heading home in an uber after escaping the police. I was in the front seat with the driver while Aron and the rest sat in the back. I turned towards them, they were as shocked as I was except for Aron who seemed confused.
"They're really out to get them" Anna said shaking
"Shouldn't we be happy? I mean that's one less corrupt official in the government" Michael asked
"Yeah Micheal is right" Anna nodded
"No he's not. It may seem like the purple Lagoon is fighting corrupt officials who wronged them but that's not really the case. They're not just out for revenge, no they also want the same power and influence the oracle has. Even if they wipe out every member of the oracle in Lagos, they'll just take over and hurt the citizens more" i explained
They all nodded
I looked at the uber driver to make sure he was not listening to us, luckily he was wearing an earpod.
"So we have to stop both groups?" Anna asked
"Yes"
"Two villains, one hero... that's not fair" Anna pouted
I just kept quiet as i clutched the box we found. This is the key to finding out everything, i just hope we don't come to any deadends
"We can do this" Michael encouraged
The car finally stopped in front of my gate, i paid the driver and we all got out.
"Um Anna, you and Michael should head back home. I'll inform you once i finally open the box" i said
They both nodded
"Okay, please stay safe love" Anna said as she hugged me
"You too" i kissed her cheek
A taxi car passed by and Anna waved it down. It stopped, they both entered and the car drove off. I was now alone with Aron
"C'mon, let's head inside" i said to Aron
I opened the gate and we both entered the compound only to see a black mercedes benz packed in front of the house, i looked around confused and spotted Amir, my dad's aid Tunde and a fair skinned curvy woman sitting on the pounch.
"Did you invite anyone to the house?". Aron whispered
"No but I think i know the intruder" i whispered nervously
My dad must have come to pay me a visit. Oh shit, Mirabel was sleeping inside, what if he saw her??! Then i remember i locked the house before leaving. I turned towards Aron and said
"It's my dad"
"What does he want?" He asked
"I don't know but I guess we're about to find out" i said looking at the black car
"Okay" Aron said bending his face
I slowly walked up to the front porch with Aron following behind me, Amir smiled nervously when he saw me while the other woman just stared at me with a "i don't give a fuck about you" face. My dad was leaning on his walking stick, he looked up once I reached his side
"Afternoon dad" i greeted
"Same here, let's talk in the car" he quickly said
I hesitated for a moment but decided to go with the flow. I followed him into the back seat of the car after giving Aron an "I'll be right back" smile.
"You're really stubborn" he said as Amir shut the car doors from outside
"You made me that way" i shrugged
"They killed another person today, you still wanna go up against them?" He asked
"I do. I'm not just going up against them but you too" i turned to face him "i know your secrets dad, just give up before more people get hurt"
He just kept quiet
"If you came here to threaten me then you should just go home cause I ain't changing my mind" i hissed
"Watch your tongue girl, a cub can never go against its father. I know who I gave birth to, so whatever secret ace you have up your sleeves, just know I'll find it soon"
"You have no idea who i am. I'm not that little girl you manipulated years ago, people change dad." I glared at him
"Watch your back Aurora, i know Mirabel came to you. It's only a while until I flush you two out"
As he said that, i just froze
