Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Delkira, once a being of solitary power, discovered a new kind of world through her eyes.

Her name was Kyoko, and she was a whirlwind of vibrant life and infectious laughter. She took him on a tour of the human world, a place he had only ever seen through fleeting summonings.

He traded his imposing throne for a worn-out theme park bench, his regal robes for simple human clothes.

Kyoko showed him her favorite parts of her world.

They ate at a small ramen shop where the broth was rich and comforting, a stark contrast to the extravagant feasts of the Netherworld.

They went to a bustling theme park, the air filled with the scent of popcorn and the screams of delighted children.

Delkira, who had commanded armies and quelled rebellions, found himself captivated by the simple joy on her face as they rode a rickety Ferris wheel, the human world laid out below them like a tapestry of light.

They visited a zoo, where he was fascinated by the strange and colorful creatures, and an ocean park where he marveled at the grace of the dolphins.

But it was at the ocean itself that Delkira truly felt a shift in his heart. Standing on the sandy shore, the vast expanse of the sea stretching to the horizon, he was humbled by its immensity.

The rhythmic crash of the waves, the salty tang in the air, and the endless, beautiful blue—it was a symphony of emotions he had never felt before.

He looked at Kyoko, her hair whipped by the sea breeze, and knew he had to build a life with her there.

He found a secluded plot of land right by the water and, with a subtle wave of his hand, a beautiful house of weathered wood and glass rose from the ground.

It was a home, not a palace, a place where a king could be just a man.

One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in fiery hues, Delkira took her hand.

"Kyoko," he began, his voice uncharacteristically nervous,

"the Netherworld has been my home for centuries, but with you, the human world feels like a place I can finally rest. Will you... build a kingdom with me here?"

He didn't need to get down on one knee; the sincerity in his eyes was his proposal.

With tears in her eyes, she whispered, "Yes," and they were married under the setting sun, the sound of the waves as their only witness.
