Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: Wang Teng Gets Struck by Lightning

Looking at the little cuties that had popped out on the ground, Wang Teng was overjoyed.

Speaking of which, Wang Teng had accumulated quite a few gold soul coins, though they didn't seem to have much use for them.

But who would dislike such glittering little cuties? As a little money-grubber, Wang Teng naturally wanted as many as possible. Continuing forward for a while, Wang Teng heard the roar of bulls in the distance.

"Could it be another minotaur?"

Although the innocent Wang Teng didn't know if the monster was a "minotaur", he habitually referred to all the minotaur soldiers and giant minotaur beasts he had encountered before as minotaurs.

Soon, Wang Teng saw the monsters appearing ahead. Two blue goblins, two red goblins, and two minotaur vanguards.

Wang Teng had never seen minotaur vanguards before. They were similar to the minotaur soldiers he had encountered before, but they didn't carry large axes; they were just bare-handed. Otherwise, they were similar, except for their skin, which was now a bluish-gray cowhide.

Putting everything else aside, the hide of these Minotaur Vanguards alone could be used to make high-quality leather boots, belts, bags, and other leather goods.

Wang Teng believed this would be enough to make them a sensation throughout Tiandou City! It's just a bit of a pity that you can't skin the mobs in the dungeon; they'll respawn and disappear after being killed.

These two Minotaur Vanguards were clearly melee-type mobs, so Wang Teng ignored them for now and aimed his Judgement Rifle at the four magic-casting goblins (temu version).

"Bang~ Bang~ Bang~" Soul-powered bullets burst out, instantly sending two red goblins and one blue goblin flying.

Just after Wang Teng fired, the remaining three mobs also noticed this uninvited guest. The remaining blue goblin was fine, but the two Minotaur Vanguards were a different story.

The Minotaur Vanguards immediately bent over, pointed their two sharp horns at Wang Teng in the distance, and began their charge. This charge was different from ordinary charges; the sprint speed was very fast, and it seemed to be a skill.

Fortunately, Wang Teng was quite far from the two Minotaur vanguards, a distance of about 180 meters. After the Minotaur vanguards sprinted for 50 meters, their speed slowed down, clearly because their minds weren't working well enough to get closer before charging again.

Of course, perhaps they would have their heads blown off before they even got close? The rapid sprint of two huge creatures more than two meters away really startled Wang Teng, as the sense of oppression was quite strong. Fortunately, their speed had slowed down now.

Although Wang Teng was wearing powerful equipment and was confident he wouldn't be seriously injured, he still didn't want to be gored by their horns.

After all, what if they hit a vital spot? That would cause serious psychological trauma! Thinking this, Wang Teng's hand moved quickly, aiming at the tall Minotaur vanguards and pulling the trigger.

*Bang*

The soul power bullet hit the head of one of the Minotaur vanguards, blooming into a flower of blood.

Although this Minotaur vanguard fell to the ground severely injured, it didn't die on the spot. Clearly, compared to the goblins and cat demons, the Minotaur's defense was superior; its physique alone was enough to tell.

Just as the last Minotaur was about to charge at Wang Teng, it was finally struck in the head by a soul-powered bullet. Two more soul-powered bullets followed, finishing off the remaining heavily wounded Minotaur and the blue goblin that was trying to escape in the distance.

This was a close call; he almost got gored by the Minotaur's horns, but thankfully, his Arbiter rifle delivered a fatal blow. Knowing that the Minotaur possessed a charge ability, he would prioritize eliminating it next time he encountered one.

Wang Teng continued along the grassland. Soon, thunder rumbled in the distance.

Not long after, Wang Teng spotted Lord Lightning Keno in the distance, along with a large number of goblins, and was immediately astonished.

"Is this a goblin swarm?"

Beside Lord Lightning Keno were five ordinary goblins, five goblin centurions, and five blue goblins. Lord Lightning Keno himself was a rather distinctive goblin.

While he looked similar to a regular goblin centurion, Lightning Keno had white skin and carried a large curved sword that occasionally crackled with lightning.

Given his name, Lord Lightning Kenno clearly possessed lightning magic.

However, one thing Wang Teng pondered was why all the goblins in the dungeon, whether lords or regular monsters, wore only a loincloth. Were they too poor to afford clothes, or was this attire more convenient for a "Miserable Party"?

Shaking his head, Wang Teng dismissed these unhealthy thoughts, raised his Arbiter rifle, and aimed at Lord Lightning Keno.

"Bang!"

A soul energy bullet struck Lord-Lightning Keno's bald forehead. Wang Teng, watching from afar, could see a tiny splatter of blood, but as a lord, Lightning Keno wasn't so easily killed.

And, presumably more intelligent than the other goblins, Lord-Lightning Keno immediately spotted Wang Teng from the direction the soul energy bullet had come from.

Lightning Keno let out a strange cry and immediately raised his scimitar, swinging it at Wang Teng in the distance, while his goblin minions, chanting unknown goblin language, charged towards Wang Teng.

Although Wang Teng didn't understand why Lord-Lightning Keno was making such a bizarre move, his hands didn't slow down, firing several more soul energy bullets.

At this moment, Wang Teng's attention was entirely focused on Lightning Keno, completely unaware of the yellow circle of light that appeared beneath his feet.

Just as Wang Teng thought his next soul power bullet would finish off Lord - Lightning Keno, he sensed a dangerous aura.

Before he could react, a bolt of magical lightning struck him directly from the sky.

"Boom!" After that, Wang Teng's hair stood on end, forming an afro.

Fortunately, the lightning wasn't very powerful, and with the equipment he was wearing, it didn't cause much damage. However, it was the first time in his life that Wang Teng had been struck by lightning, and he immediately felt uneasy.

"Damn it, I got struck by lightning?"

Wang Teng's face darkened instantly, and with his afro, his current look was undeniably 'cool'! Before the other goblin minions could rush forward, Wang Teng delivered the final soul power bullet to Lord - Lightning Keno.

Like the last straw that broke the camel's back, Luo Lei Keno screamed and was sent flying into the sky by Wang Teng, after which a lord's treasure chest appeared from the spot.
