When Zhai Fei arrived at the Renren Network office with his people in the morning, Chen Pingjiang was in a meeting.
Seeing so many people surge in, he was stunned for a long time.
"What's going on?"
"Huh? You don't know? The academy arranged for our student council to send a few capable people to escort you, so you can focus on the entrepreneurship competition."
Zhai Fei said, turning his head to look around.
"Wow, I didn't expect the Renren Network to be your creation. Now I understand why the academy is so nervous."
Zhai Fei himself was a heavy user of Renren Network.
The first thing he did every day when he returned to his dorm was to post on it.
He loved the anime, game, and novel sections.
"Hey, help me get some gold coins. I want a super cool outfit."
Zhai Fei grinned and put his arm around Chen Pingjiang's shoulder.
Chen Pingjiang rolled his eyes:
"Recharge it yourself."
He was somewhat speechless at the moment, not expecting Kuang Minghong to be so invested in the entrepreneurship competition, coming up with such a plan just to ensure he could compete without worries.
Since they had arrived, Chen Pingjiang naturally accepted them with a smile.
He now had eight free laborers who didn't need salaries.
Although they weren't full-time or even necessarily part-time, they could certainly hand out flyers and serve tea.
"Little rich girl is here too, very good, very good."
Among the eight, there was an acquaintance of Chen Pingjiang from the external relations department, the rich second-generation Bai Lijia.
Bai Lijia held a lollipop in her mouth, looking around curiously.
"This place is okay, just too small."
Chen Pingjiang smiled and said,
"Why don't you ask your dad to invest in me, and I'll get a bigger place."
"I think that works. How much do you need?"
Bai Lijia thought seriously for a long time, then tilted her head and asked.
"Uh."
Seeing that she was serious, even Chen Pingjiang was at a loss for words.
The seven students apart from Bai Lijia were either bewildered and at a loss, slightly nervous, or very excited.
However, it was their first time entering a relatively formal office environment up close, and some even saw acquaintances.
"I always thought Renren Network was created by some big company, but it turns out it was made by students from our school."
"Which one is Chen Pingjiang?"
"The one laughing and talking with Zhai Fei in the meeting room."
"He's quite handsome, but I heard he has a pretty bad temper. Senior Sister Sui Yuan was even driven away by him."
After agreeing on a time to drink with Chen Pingjiang, Zhai Fei quickly disappeared.
He looked at Chen Pingjiang's mischievous gaze, fearing that Chen Pingjiang would also make him stay for manual labor.
Wan Yuqian ran over at this moment and asked,
"Junior, how should these student council members be arranged?"
Chen Pingjiang glanced at the public office area outside:
"You pick two girls to help in the content department, the girl in white counts as one. Hand the rest over to Gao Songbin and Kong Susu, and have them do street promotions at the University of Science, Engineering, Agriculture, and Medicine."
Wan Yuqian pursed her lips and chuckled:
"You're really ruthless."
Chen Pingjiang spread his hands, making a helpless expression:
"The marketing department doesn't need them, and the content department has enough people. What else can they do if they don't do street promotions?
Besides, street promotions train people. I don't have money to pay them, but I can train their abilities, broaden their horizons, and when they graduate, this will be their most precious memory."
Wan Yuqian couldn't be bothered to listen to his nonsense and started to walk away.
Chen Pingjiang's voice came from behind her ear again:
"Make sure they get fed, otherwise I'm afraid Hao Shaoping will curse me behind my back."
"Shu Mang, let's go."
Chen Pingjiang checked the time and called into another room.
"Coming, coming."
Shu Mang hurried out, backpack on, and got onto Chen Pingjiang's electric scooter.
Chen Pingjiang rode the electric scooter, watching Shu Mang constantly smoothing her wind-blown hair in the rearview mirror, and chuckled:
"After the first wave of investment promotion ends, I'll get you a dedicated car."
Shu Mang laughed:
"There's not much money in the account, Boss, you can ask the school for one."
Chen Pingjiang rolled his eyes:
"Do you think the school is Doraemon?"
"They've already given us eighteen computers and so many free laborers, what's the harm in supporting us further?"
"I'm afraid our dean will chase me with a forty-meter long sword."
Arriving at Guoqiang Driving School again, Chen Pingjiang went straight to the principal's office, where Wan Qiping was reading the newspaper.
Seeing Chen Pingjiang enter, Wan Qiping smiled apologetically:
"I had a temporary meeting in the district yesterday."
Chen Pingjiang waved his hand, "The contract can be signed any day, of course, your matters, General Manager Wan, are more important."
After speaking, he gestured to Shu Mang with his eyes.
Shu Mang quickly took out the prepared contract from her canvas bag and handed it over.
The reason for bringing Shu Mang to sign the contract was, firstly, to appear more formal, and secondly, to emphasize that the two were equal partners.
Wan Qiping carefully flipped through the contract, then signed his name with a flourish.
"The advertising payment will be transferred to your company's account by the end of work tomorrow at the latest."
Chen Pingjiang exchanged a few polite words, then said:
"Then I wish us a pleasant and smooth collaboration going forward."
Downstairs, Chen Pingjiang walked around the practice driving range.
Wan Qiping smiled and said,
"Mr. Chen, you've paid the registration fee, remember to go back and study, and take Subject 1 later."
Chen Pingjiang made up an excuse,
"I've often secretly driven my family's car since I was little, I'm very skilled. Principal Wan, please help me arrange the test quickly."
Saying that, at Wan Qiping's instruction, Chen Pingjiang got into a training car.
He had originally wanted to show off a bit, demonstrating his unity of man and car to Wan Qiping.
But as soon as he started, the engine stalled.
Chen Pingjiang, thick-skinned, shouted at the laughing Wan Qiping:
"Mistake, mistake, I'm not used to driving a manual car anymore."
Indeed, he wasn't used to it.
He used to drive automatics, and suddenly touching a manual car required slowly recalling how to drive, sometimes even feeling unfamiliar with the steering wheel after not driving for a while.
Fortunately, he had a foundation.
After a few minutes of practice, Chen Pingjiang was able to skillfully reverse into a parking space, parallel park, and make a right-angle turn.
He completed Subject 2 single-handedly without any pauses in just over a minute.
The previous stall and his current proficiency formed a strong contrast, instantly dumbfounding Shu Mang and Wan Qiping, who were watching.
Wan Qiping was puzzled.
If Chen Pingjiang's family car was an automatic, it wouldn't have stalled.
If it was an automatic, it would be even less likely that he could drive a manual.
The relationship between the clutch, brake, accelerator, and gears — someone who hadn't touched them would certainly not drive so skillfully.
Fortunately, Wan Qiping didn't dwell on the issue, only assuming Chen Pingjiang came from a good family and had both an automatic and a manual car.
"Mr. Chen, you weren't secretly driving when you were little, were you? Even our driving school instructors might not have your speed."
Wan Qiping already felt that Chen Pingjiang must have a good family background, perhaps he was the young master of some family.
Otherwise, how could someone so young have the capital to start a company, and drive a car so skillfully?
"Perhaps I just have better talent."
Chen Pingjiang put his hands on his hips, showing off.
"With your level of proficiency, you don't need to practice driving at all. I'll have the instructor notify you about the test time."
Saying that, Wan Qiping took Chen Pingjiang to talk with an instructor.
When they parted, Chen Pingjiang also invited Wan Qiping to meet at Wangyue Tower that evening.
