Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Night He Chose Me

Aria's POV

"Something about you feels so different" he growled thrusting into me as he kissed my ear, "Just so different" he swears, pumping harder.

I let out a weak cry, the sharp pain I endured at that point was nothing but a distant memory compared to the good sensation it brought.

I couldn't get enough of him, I was sore but with the way he moved I couldn't help but want more.

As he released my hands, he turned me around, pushing me forward as he yanked my legs back, one hand hard on my back, the other gripping my waist.

He thrusted kissing down my neck, slow and lingering, and I had to fight the urge to either moan or slap him. Maybe both.

But let's rewind a second.

How did I get here in the first place?

Everyone said the Alpha never slept with the same woman twice. Until the day he met me.

And lucky me, right?

It all started two weeks ago. I was just a help at the Night shadow Pack. When I mean help, I mean "help" like the backup's backup.

The kitchen omega who sliced onions until her fingers went numb, washed the dishes, clean and ran errands for the pack. I'd never got to the see the Alpha, let alone served him food.

Then one morning, after a half baked breakfast and three passive, aggressive insults from Greta, the head cook, I got tapped on the shoulder.

"You Big head! Lina's sick," she grumbled. "You're taking her tray to the Alpha."

"Wait, the Alpha? As in Alpha Kael? The I'll kill for fun Nightfang?"

Greta gave me a look. You know the one. The "get your ass moving before I use your scalp for soup" look. So I shut up and picked up the tray.

Tray in hand, nerves in my throat, I walked the long marble hallway like a sacrificial virgin heading to the dragon's den.

I'd never seen so many smug wolves pretending not to watch me. How did Lina do all these?- Serve the alpha and pretend not to see them staring at you.

The pack's dining chamber was huge, all shinny with silver fixtures and dead eye stares. The kind of place where if you'd drop a plate, your life would be ruined forever and guess what?

That was exactly what I did, dropped a plate or should I say plates.

The second I stepped into the room, something changed.

Something... raw.

He was at the far end, sitting like a king born out of nightmare fuel, when he growled.

Not as a warning, not even a threat but more like a claim.

He stood. His head snapped toward me like I just pulled a gun on him.

And then, he sniffed me

I froze wondering why he did that when the tray slipped from my fingers shattering the plates across the floor with food crumbs everywhere.

"Oh moon goddess... what have I done wrong?" I whispered.

No one answered. They just stared as the Alpha started moving around me. He stopped inches from me and inhaled again, deeper this time, his eyes darkening until there was no silver left. Just pitch.

"You," he said, with his voice thick. "Come."

And like a dumbass, I followed him. Down halls, through locked doors and straight into his quarters.

He didn't explain. He didn't ask.

That first night, he touched me like I was made of glass and dynamite.

By the second, I wasn't allowed to leave. By the third, I stopped wanting to.

His obsession? Grew wilder with every night passing.

The pack started whispering. "She must be the Alpha's favorite"

"He never keeps anyone more than once."

"She must be special"

Sure, special like that particular song we always have on repeat.

But for an omega like me, adopted, forgotten, used, it was more complicated than that.

I was the adopted daughter of my step father, I lost my parents years ago, how? I don't know but one thing I knew is that my step father may have a hand in my parents death but that's a story for another day.

My father only took me in after their death to secure a future seat in becoming the next alpha of his pack.

"You'll never be my daughter," he once to me, "i only brought you in the make my reputation good at least, cause you're worthless and nobody would ever see you as useful" he growled banging his fist against the table.

Can't believe he said that to a 10 year old.

Well Newsflash: I was never going his daughter in the first place. Just a bait to get whatever throne he was after. But guess what? I'm now special to someone

Alpha's Kael and his bed.

Now Back to the present, Alpha Karl had quietly rested his hand on my waist, brushing back and forth like I was something soothing. Something his. Something he could never let go off…even if he wanted to.

"You're mine forever" he whispered as he pressed a kiss to my ears still thrusting.

Slowly he began to move faster and deeper until we both fell on the bed panting.

"Never have I had a woman like you" he said leaning in as I tried to gasp for air, the sweet type of gasping, that gasp you give when you just returned from wonderland.

"Now rest," he murmured. "I shall return, my favorite."

There it was again. "Favorite"

I nodded as he pressed a kiss on my lips and then to my temple.

I waited until the door shut behind him before whispering into the dark, "moon goddess, help me if I'm actually falling for this lunatic."

Because at this point I feel like I'm already falling for him.

He used me to please himself, that I knew. But some lonely piece of me wanted every part of him and hope he came back every night which of course he did.
