Alarm filled the arena as several black-clothed figures rappelled down from the rooftop, before an actual alarm started to sound as well.
"Oh no, they know we're here." Sarcastically drawled the one man dressed differently amongst the invaders.
Instead of black, his clothes were white the same red R on them, and he had dark blue hair styled in a bob cut. He also seemed to be the one the previous smooth voice came from earlier, while the men around him seemed to defer to him.
"Who are you?!" The trainer with the Charizard demanded irritably, his pokemon growling to intimidate them beside him.
"We are team Rocket! And we are here to liberate you all of your pokemon!" The man declared, as his associates proceeded to send out several pokeballs.
"Weezing!"
"Golbat!"
"Charbok!"
"Muuuuuk!"
"Beeeeeeee!"
Weezing, Golbat, Arbok, Muk and Beedrill all filled the arena by the dozens as they prepared to attack.
"Poison Gas attack!" The blue haired man declared, and ALL of the Weezing expelled a torrent of toxic fumes that filled the arena.
"Charizard, use Hurricane!" The trainer from before declared.
"Scizor! Help them out with Defog!" The other trainer cried.
It was as if a storm had formed inside as the two pokemon beat their wings to summon a literal tempest against the rapidly approaching tide of toxic gas, pushing it back and out the windows that had been broken earlier. Also caught up in the blast of wind was the Beedrill and Golbat that were on the other side, taking each of them out of the battle for as long as the Charizard could keep up the attack.
"Arbok, use Glare on that Charizard! The rest of you, use Sludge Wave!" The blue haired man ordered, and ALL of the Arbok focused their attention on the Charizard at the same time, flaring their hoods to intimidate it until it was completely paralyzed.
At the same time, the Muk all summoned a todal wave of toxic sludge that swept over the entire arena towards us all.
"Use Surf!" One girl suddenly cried out, and her Lapras answered by summoning a tidal wave of it's own that clashed against the Sludge Wave. And it wasn't alone.
The Lapras was swiftly joined by several other water type pokemon as they all used Surf to push back the poison, ranging from Golduck, Politoed, Seaking, Slowbro, Slowking, and even a Ludicolo. But then the Golbat all started to recover.
"SCREEEEEEEE!"
"!!!"
As one, almost everyone in the hall, myself and Charmander included, ducked down and covered our ears as a horrible screeching sound filled the air. Supersonic.
The effect was immediate as the wave of water combating the Sludge Wave diminished in power as the water type pokemon swiftly became confused, either hurting themselves or attacking one another. Of course, their trainers were forced to return them to their pokeballs to prevent them from becoming a liability.
Thankfully though, the Slowbro, Slowking and Ludicolo were all fine as they continued using Surf, probably all possessing the Own Tempo ability.
Charmander and I watched as the battle raged on in front of us, the trainers fighting back against Team Rocket, while the Rockets responded with their own strategy to try and overwhelm the resistance.
"Char!"
"No you don't!" I stated while recalling Charmander to his pokeball, preventing him from going out and joining the fight. "The strongest move you know right now is Ember. As much as I hate to say it, there's not much either of us can do here."
The pokeball in my hand gave a quick jerk in protest, but otherwise fell still as Charmander seemingly accepted my decision. It wasn't like I couldn't understand him though, as part of me also wanted to join in on the battle and help. But I would only be in the way.
I did however glance up towards the rafters, where Spearow was perched as he too watched the battle rage from above. Thankfully no one seemed to have noticed him since they were busy with the trainers and pokemon down here.
"Retreat! Fall back!" The blue haired guy suddenly shouted, prompting his men to recall their pokemon as they hurried back to the cables they had rappelled down with.
"They're running away?" I muttered to myself suspiciously. I don't know why, but it felt weird to me as we all watched them ascend back to the roofs.
"THE POKEMON ARE MISSING!" Someone suddenly shouted, before a Nurse Joy hurried into the arena.
"The pokemon we were taking care of! They're all missing!" She declared urgently, and everyone immediately became agitated as they realized we were just a distraction.
"NOAH!"
"!!!"
I looked up to see Leaf hurrying towards me, her face distraught while she clutched her abdomen.
"Noah! They took them!" She declared, drawing several looks in our direction, even as several trainers were preparing to go after them.
"Took who?" I asked her seriously.
"Bulby, May, Misty! They took all of them!" Leaf declared, and I felt my mind go blank.
I didn't even notice when I started moving.
One second I was standing on the ground in front of Leaf, and the next I was launching myself ten.....fifteen feet into the air before I grabbed one of the cables that Team Rocket was using to get to the roof.

*Earlier*
"Hmmm hmmm hmmm..."
May hummed contently as she brushed out her hair after getting out of the shower, though her eyes contained purpose and intent as she watched her reflection in the mirror.
For the last several days she had been watching Noah constantly.
Part of the reason why had been her own curiosity. After all, how many people can claim to have fallen from the sky? But there were the obvious risks that her father and professor Oak asked her to keep an eye out for as well.
There truly was no telling what Noah's background was before he was dumped into the sea. Lance wasn't entirely unfounded in his paranoia towards him as a potential enemy, even if he was a bit heavy handed with it.
Professors Birch and Oak meanwhile decided to act more subtly, namely having May keep an eye on him as they prepared to go on their journey. And so she did.
May accompanied Noah as he trained with Charmander, she took him shopping, bought him an entire new wardrobe, and even flirted with him a bit. Not only did she not think he was anyone suspicious after several days of this, but May thought she was starting to really fall for him.
Because of the time the two of them spent together, May had seen nearly every side of him that had been displayed for the last few days. She'd seen his excitement when meeting a new pokemon, his childlike joy at interacting with them, his bashfulness as they shopped together, and even his naivety in the world around them.
But then there was the other side of the coin.
When Noah trained his Charmander, May was always stunned by how much of a different person he seemed to be. His eyes, normally lit up with curiosity and intrigue, were then focused and intense. His posture stiff and tense, as if he was about to pounce at any second.
Then there was his figure and looks.
May couldn't deny how much she liked the way Noah towered over her, the feel of his muscles under her fingers, or how it felt when his hand encased her own. His curly red hair made her want to run her fingers through it for hours on end, and his green eyes were mesmerizing to say the least.
Noah was hot. There was no other way to put it.
All of that, added to the way he could banter with her, like how he'd called her cute earlier, and May had caught herself thinking once or twice that some god out there just handed her the perfect boyfriend on a silver platter. Granted, she DID have to dive into the ocean and save him from drowning.
But then today they met Leaf and Misty.
Leaf was....an annoyance at most. May didn't consider her a true threat since she only seemed to focus on how to make money. Misty however...
May hadn't missed the way Noah had paid attention to Misty on their way here. The way he furrowed his brows, the focus in his gaze, and the wrinkles on his forehead when he was deep in thought. Misty was obviously someone else who he recognized, but didn't know where he knew them from.
This worried her for some reason, as if Misty was going to 'steal' Noah away from her.
May wasn't sure what it was she felt towards Noah, but the idea of another girl stealing him annoyed her to no end. So she decided to pull out the big guns. Almost literally.
Once she was satisfied with the state of her hair, May started digging through her bag to decide what night clothes she wanted to wear. Something to make it to where Noah wouldn't be able to take his eyes off of her.
Eventually she had to decide between two pairs of really short pull on shorts, before selecting the pink pair that had the words 'spank me' bedazzled on the butt. Then she went with a matching pink silk nightshirt.
May examined herself in the mirror after she slipped on the shirt and shorts, hoping that she was right in that she looked comfortable and sensual, but not overly slutty.
Satisfied with her choice, she exited the bathroom and prepared to crawl onto the bed to watch TV until Noah returned.
Except, there was a strange man in her room.
May's eyes widened in surprise when she noticed the man standing in the middle of her and Noah's room, dressed in all black with a red R on his shirt. Thankfully, he did as well as he took in her sensual attire. This gave her time to react when he finally lifted a can of spray to her face.
"No!" May yelled defiantly as she tucked her shoulder, and charged right into the man's abdomen to drive him back.
"Gah!" The man grunted as May knocked the wind out of him, before tackling him right into the nightstand between the two beds. They grappled there for a second, before he gave May a backhand to the face that sent her sprawling onto her bed.
As the man took a second to get his breath, May quickly reached for her pokeballs to fight back against him with, only they weren't there!
Before she had time to do anything else the man was back on his feet, barely giving May enough to draw her legs up to her chest before kicking both of them out as she planted her feet into his chest. Then with leg muscles developed from walking, biking and swimming all over Hoenn, May launched the man across the room and into the wall on the other side, before he crumpled onto Noah's bed.
With her pokemon gone, and no viable weapons, May quickly made for the door so she could run to get some help while the man picked himself back up. Except she opened it only to find herself face-to-face with an older woman dressed in white with magenta colored hair styled into a comet tail.
"Hello there, little girl." The woman sneered at her, before May was blasted in the face with some kind of spray. The second she inadvertently breathed it in, she lost all of the strength in her body as she dropped unceremoniously to the floor.
"Cuff her." The woman with the comet tail, Jessie, quickly ordered the man beside her while she turned her attention up and down the hall they were in.
Taking the girl had been a last second change to their plans before they made their move, thanks to one of their undercover agents telling them that she was here when they first arrived.
May Birch. The only daughter of the world renowned professor Birch.
She was far too valuable a potential hostage to let this chance go since it would mean they could get her father under their control. Not only that, but she was also famous. If the old man proved to be unwilling to cooperate, then they could just sell her off to the highest bidder and make quite a bit of money off of her.
In a matter of seconds May had her wrists cuffed together and a rag stuffed in her mouth to gag her, while the man charged with apprehending her stumbled out of the room, rubbing his chest.
"Imbecile. Can't even handle one girl." Jessie sneered at him with disdain before she got a message over their radio.
"We got the pokeballs. Preparing to withdraw now."
"Excellent. Let's move out!" Jessie declared as she and her men made to return to the roof. Before they could get more than a few steps though...
"Hey! What are you doing with May?!" A voice cried out, stopping them in their tracks as two more girls rapidly approached them.
"Tch." Jessie clicked her tongue as she turned to face them.
"Stay out of this, little girls, unless you want to end up in worse shape than your friend." Jessie threatened them while pointing at May with her thumb.
"I don't think so!" Misty declared while Leaf took a step back. "I'm Misty Williams of the Cerulean city Gym, and I refuse to stand by and do nothing! Starmie, go!"
"HYAH!"
At Misty's command, a large purple starfish appeared in the hallway with a glowing jewel in it's center.
"A Williams...?" Jessie murmured as she narrowed her eyes at Misty, before tossing out her own pokeball. "Arbok, teach this little girl a lesson."
"Charbok!" Hissed the twelve foot long cobra that appeared.
"Starmie, use Psybeam!" Misty quickly ordered.
"Arbok, use Crunch." Jessie calmly retaliated.
The serpentine pokemon deftly dodged the beam of psychic energy as it shot forward, before sinking it's fangs into the Starmie while simultaneously Wrapping it's body around it's opponent.
At the same time, Jessie shot forward at Leaf and Misty themselves, swinging her booted/heeled foot around to kick Leaf in the stomach, before performing a pirouette as kicked Misty with enough force to send her flying into the wall, knocking the wind out of her.
"Bring it here." Jessie ordered her pokemon while getting Starmie's pokeball from Misty, and forcefully recalling it.
"Cuff her as well and bring her. With her as leverage, we can have the Williams family under our thumb. And with that, another Gym belongs to us."
While the grunt did as she ordred, Jessie hurriedly searched both Misty and Leaf for any other pokemon they had on them. Misty only had a Psyduck and Goldeen, while Leaf only had her Bulbasaur.
"Disappointing... But at least there's a Bulbasaur." Jessie said, before adding them with May's to the bags of pokeballs they already stole. "Now let's get out of here."
At her prompting, the group of Rockets quickly got back to the roof where their helicopter and the other team were waiting.
"Well?" Asked the blue haired man in charge of the distraction.
"We got them, as well as May Birch and an unexpected gain." Jessie told her partner, James.
"Good, let's go."
May and Misty were both dumped onto the tandem-rotor helicopter while the rest of the grunts took their seats, followed by the two captains.
"About time yous two got back! Do you have any idea how long we was waiting?" Demanded a short figure waiting on the helicopter for them, a talking Meowth.
"We're here now." Jessie said as she and James took their seats.
"Alright! we'res outta here!" Meowth declared, right as a window shattered.
"""Huh?"""
All three of them uttered as one as a figure landed on the roof, having used one of their cables to swing himself up through a window.
"Who is that?" James asked as the figure started running towards them, barefoot, across the broken glass while dressed only in sweatpants and a t-shirt.
"I don't know, but he looks familiar." Jessie said, before suddenly the entire helicopter jerked to send the three of them to the floor, while both Misty and May rolled to the other side.
"What was that?!" James exclaimed as they all picked themselves up to see what had happened.
"GIVE."
"THEM."
"BAAAAACK!"
The trio looked out the open door to see the barefoot brat, his feet planted on the roof of the Pokemon Center while holding one of the helicopter rappelling cables in his hand, keeping them from flying away.
"Holy crap?! Did dis brat's mother fuck a Machamp or something?!" Meowth swore from the display of inhuman strength.
"Talk breeding later. Right now, we need to get out of here!" Jessie stated to the pilot, who tried to do just that by giving the rotors more power.
"NO."
"YOU."
"DON'T!"
The brat tried to fight it, but the trio watched as he was dragged across the rooftop until making it to the ledge, where he was able to plant his feet against the reinforced concrete railing.
"GRAAAAAAAAAH!"
"""!!!"""
The trio went wide-eyed as the brat roared, and held his grip on the cable despite the obvious strain his body was under, his face turning purple as the helicopter pitched to the side from trying to lift away.
"This twerp must be bionic..." James said in disbelief.
"I think the word you're looking for is moronic!" Jessie snapped back at him irritably, before demanding, "Do we have ANY flying type pokemon to deal with that brat?!"
Several of grunts tried to offer up their Zubat or Golbat, but Meowth beat them to the punch as he crawled over to the wench that the cable was attached to.
"No need for dat! Wait till that twerp gets a load of dis!" The cat-like pokemon declared as he flexed his claws, preparing to use his Fury Swipes attack to cut through the cable altogether.
"SPEAROW!"
Meowth looked up just in time to see a ball of feathers flying right at him, before he received a powerful Peck attack to the top of his head.
"MEOOOOOOOOOWTH!"
Meowth cried with pain from the attack, before the Spearow in question flew into the helicopter itself to start attacking everyone within.
"Kyaa!"
"Stop it!"
"Someone grab it!"
Pandomonium erupted int he helicopter thanks to the Spearow, buying the brat more time to try and reel them in.
"Brute Root, help him out with Vine Whip!"
"SAUR!"
The next thing they knew, several vines had stretched out and latched onto the helicopter, helping to hold it in place as more trainers arrived on the roof.
"You too Victreebell!"
"Help them out Tangrowth!"
Soon several pokemon were holding the helicopter, preventing it's escape while the Spearow sowed chaos within.
"Take over for him Machamp!" Another trainer ordered, and a large humanoid pokemon with four arms came and took the place of the twerp to hold the cables.
"Damn... Da twerps are coming out in force now!" Meowth stated urgently, while the rest of the Rockets still tried to deal with the Spearow.
"Bah! If you need something done right..." Jessie began as she pulled out a baton that crackled with electric energy. "Then you need to do it yourself!"
Jessie swung the baton as she declared that, hitting several grunts and James, but also hitting the Spearow.
"!!!"
"Spear!"
The Spearow cried out in pain as it was electrocuted for the SECOND time today, before collapsing to the ground as a fried crisp.
"Now as for the rest of you..." Jessie started as she turned towards the trainers still fighting them, only to see something she never would have anticipated in a million years. The twerp was flying.
Jessie and the trainers on the rooftop all stared in awe as the twerp launched himself through the air, to land IN the helicopter itself.
"GIVE THEM BACK!" The boy yelled defiantly as the grunts tried to get up, only for him roll out of the way before he quickly began to dispatch them with his hands and feet.
Noah was moving on pure instinct as he desperately fought the Rockets, though he never lost sight of his goal to save May and Misty.
"Farfetch'd!" Yelled another pokemon, sent up by the trainers below to help Noah as he fought.
"Spearow, return!" Noah declared as soon as he had a breath, recalling the toasty pokemon to it's pokeball. Despite the state he ended up in, Noah was still extremely proud of his pokemon.
With Farfetch'd helping him, Noah quickly hurried to May and Misty's sides, both of which were now conscious.
"Hold on!" Noah stated as he picked May up, and looped her handcuffed arms around his neck so she was hanging on his front. He then scooped Misty up with his left arm, and grabbed the bags of stolen pokeballs with his right before hurtling himself with all of them out of the helicopter.
"Oh no yous don't!" Meowth cried defiantly as he shot out after them, sinking his claws into Noah's leg for a hold. Unfortunately, he had nowhere near the strength to hold him.
Instead, ALL four of them tumbled out of the helicopter through the air as Noah's momentum just BARELY carried them back to the rooftop.
"ALRIGHT! LIGHT THEM UP!" One of the trainers yelled as soon as they were clear, and several attacks were immediately fired upon the Helicopter.
"Abort mission!" Every man for themselves!" James yelled as he readily bailed from the helicopter alongside Jessie, both of them using jetpacks to fly away before the craft was brought completely down.
Several of the grunts tried to follow them, but several more were too slow as they were caught in the explosion that occured under all of the attacks.
Back on the rooftop, several trainers hurried forward to help Noah, May and Misty as they recovered from their exit, followed by a few nurses.
"Are you two ok?" Noah asked May and Misty worriedly, as he had tried to cushion their fall with his body.
"I'm alright..." Misty replied as the Scizor from earlier cut the cuffs binding her wrists, her voice a little shaky after everything that just happened.
"GET YOUR DIRTY STINKIN PAWS OFF ME!"
"Woah! This Meowth can talk!"
Aside from checking on Noah and the girls, as well as the bags of stolen pokeballs, several trainers were also trying to restrain Meowth. Even though he was still latched onto Noah's leg.
Eventually, they were able to remove the erratic pokemon from him, and Noah turned his attention towards May, who still had her arms wrapped around his neck.
"Are you ok?" Noah asked her worriedly, only to have his question be punctuated by her lips pressing against his own.
"I am now..." May breathed out as she pulled her head back, before kissing Noah once more in front of everyone present. And then again. And again.
