AUTHOR'S NOTE

I thought long about how to tell readers how they should approach the novel, whether with patience or with an open mind so they could process the writing styles used in the first volume.

I'll be clear: the Spanish writing, which is what I master, would be what I should publish, but in good conscience I know this platform dominates English more, and therefore its readers do too. Because of that, I will make the effort to bring the translated work without misunderstandings due to translation differences.

It was difficult for me to know how to convey certain expressions that I'm not sure will be understood in another language, more due to cultural differences than any other reason.

If I could ask something as an author, well, if this even gets read haha, it's that you first look at the bigger picture before judging it. What do I mean by that? Well, the difference between where a work is written and where it's distributed. I wouldn't want you to get a bad impression by starting the work in Latin American and Asian territory, when this work will encompass every possible territory. But if I ask for understanding, it's because everything will have its justification, and you won't be disappointed in the end.

Between us, each country will get its due as it should, but in a respectful way hahaha

For those who may ask, this is a work with two protagonists, but that doesn't mean the rest will feel weak or merely secondary. What matters here is the development and the hatred you might have for the characters I'll write. Whether it's positive or negative feelings toward a character, I hope it's because they're well-developed and not because they're flat and boring.

Now then, for those who ask what inspired me, unfortunately I will only leave the novels and books semi-mentioned throughout. Once the first volume is finished, I'll tell you what I read to inspire myself. This for a specific reason: because I hate plagiarism. I can understand someone trying to take an idea, but stealing someone else's work offends me. If things end up being similar in some ways, it's random to what I intend. I can't be omniscient and know all the works, unfortunately. Therefore, I will try to mention them with the respect they deserve.

All I can say now is to have patience with the writing style in the first half of the novel. I won't maintain first person as much, but I decided to use it that way at the beginning for practical purposes and with some stories. Later it will decrease.

I can only say: enjoy this work for those willing to give it a chance. I don't expect to have any masterpiece, but I will dedicate to it as much time as I could give to a university career, which, by the way, is what we're doing now. Blessings from your god if you have one, and good luck.
