The Storybook opened its pages, lifted its feather pen, and began to write.
➳ "The Tale of Oralith"
➳ "Once upon a time, there was a peaceful kingdom called Oralith, ruled by a fair and just queen and king. The kingdom was divided into seven regions: the Palace, the Fair Village, the Great Meadow, the Lush Forest, the Calm River, the High Mountains, and the Abyss, which no one could cross and which surrounded the entire land."
➳ "But there was also another realm neighboring it: the Land of Darkness, which lacked joy and was entirely inhabited by villains."
➳ "Merida, a brave friend and citizen of the kingdom, had been sent on a mission by the king."
➳ "'Retrieve the Hourglass of Time, which has gone missing,' said the king to Merida. 'We believe someone from the Land of Darkness has broken in, stolen it, and is now southwest of the kingdom. In the wrong hands, it could be very dangerous.'"
➳ "And so, Merida set out southwest to find the Hourglass of Time."
➳ "After a long journey across the Great Meadow, Merida finally reached the place where the Hourglass was said to be. She looked around and at last saw it. She stepped forward to take it—just as a figure appeared, a spy from the Land of Darkness."
➳ "The spy must have been on their own mission, to bring the Hourglass back to the Emperor of Darkness, who could then control time and space itself."
➳ "Merida and the creature prepared for battle. After a fierce struggle lasting about three minutes, the villain was defeated, and Merida stood victorious, holding the Hourglass of Time."
➳ "She was about to return to the Palace when suddenly a scroll appeared, carrying a message from the king. The king's voice began to speak."
➳ "'Merida,' said the king. 'You must return to the village immediately! The Hourglass was only a distraction set by the Land of Darkness to lure you away! They plan to attack the village and the Palace!'"
➳ "The scroll rolled up and vanished. Merida hurried back toward the Palace."
➳ "When Merida returned to the Fair Village, everything at first seemed normal. But only a moment later, an army from the Land of Darkness appeared. There must have been at least fifty of them."
➳ "The king had prepared his own forces: sixty guards in shining armor. The two armies approached and—"
Just then, the Storybook ran out of ink and needed to fetch more.
