"Ahhhhh!" Rayen screamed. The two men stopped fighting. Spec raced over to the side of the cliff.
For a moment, I thought that Spec had been able to catch his wife.
"Pull me up, you bastard!" Rayen shrieked. Cuau fell onto the ground. I rushed over to him. He shifted back to human form, but he was gasping for breath. In the light, I could see that he had a wound in his side that was bleeding heavily.
"That woman," Tears welled in my eyes, and I immediately started channeling my healing energy into the wound. I was just recovering from my dizziness after being hit in the head, but healing Cuau took a lot out of me. The room blurred and I laid my head on Cuau.
As if I was underwater, I could hear Ocello and Uchel come into the cavern.
Spec suddenly let out a heart wrenching scream as Rayen slipped out of his hand and fell with a hard thunk down to the cave floor below.
