Chapter 3 - God of Justice

Sigurd focused on his situation. According to his mother, divine power always resides within the bloodline. When an Asgardian focuses near the World Tree, they can feel the cosmic energy of the universe, which helps unlock the constraints within their blood.

He tried to calm his mind and concentrate on his heritage. As he began the process, a tremendous cosmic power surged within his body. It caused his height to increase too rapidly, and it showed no sign of stopping.Sigurd who was deep in meditation didn't know about it but the space near the world tree was large which didn't interfere in the divine awakening.

Outside the Hall of Valor, everyone could feel the immense concentration of energy. Even the most powerful gods present felt an oppressive force emanating from within.

Bor sensed that this power held great potential, far surpassing that of his other sons. Odin, standing beside his father, observed the energy and knew his brother was destined to be a great warrior for Asgard.

"Father, I think my brother's potential might be greater than my own."

Bor understood what his son was implying. "He will be your chief general. You must harness his potential properly. He needs rigorous training, and you are the best one to provide it."

Bestla, hearing her husband and son, interjected, "You two are getting ahead of yourselves! He is just a child. You must at least wait a few years before dragging him off to some training ground."

Odin chose not to respond; he knew his mother well. Bor also remained silent, as a king being scolded in public was not a good look.

As everyone discussed the divine awakening, the crowd in the courtyard grew larger with the news that the young prince was awakening his power.

Inside the Hall of Valor, Sigurd's power continued to grow. Mysteries of different runes appeared in his mind as if downloaded into his consciousness. When this enlightenment concluded, Sigurd awoke from his deep meditative state.

He looked around to find himself over fifty feet tall. To his surprise, knowledge of various superpowers had also imprinted itself in his mind.

According to this new understanding, he had awakened several abilities:

Limitless Cosmic Energy: He had no upper limit for storing cosmic energy. His strength would increase naturally as this energy accumulated over the years. Passively his body can absorb cosmic energy.

Spatial Manipulation: He could use the power of space for various purposes, though he would need to develop this skill to its full potential.

Enhanced Durability & Regeneration: His durability in battle was extraordinary. The more he fought, the more his potential would increase. This power also allowed him to regenerate lost limbs.

Body Manipulation: This was the reason for his increased height. He could control his body's size, though it required practice and was influenced by other factors. While his body had grown, he was still a child; his full height would be revealed as his potential unlocked, but he first needed to learn control.

Runic Mastery: He had also gained an innate understanding of certain magical runes, which were difficult to comprehend but were clearly linked to his divine title.

The most surprising revelation was his godhead: he was to be the God of Justice and the God of War. He knew his brother held many titles, but his most famous ones formed after he became the God-King.

Sigurd looked at his gigantic body and tried to focus, willing it back to a normal size. Even in Asgard, a fifty-foot-tall person was conspicuous, and it was better if few people knew the full extent of his power yet.

Outside, everyone waited for Sigurd to emerge.

He walked out of the Hall of Valor. Although he had controlled his height, he was still over six feet tall, now resembling a younger version of Odin with an immature face.

"Look! My son has my perfect genes!" Bestla saw her son coming and couldn't help but shout joyfully.

Sigurd, who had just stepped out, momentarily wished he could go back inside to avoid being turned into a public spectacle by his mother.

Bor ignored his wife's comment, his eyes fixed on his son. He thought, "A fifty-foot body size, brimming with divine power and the marks of magical runes on his destiny. The future of Asgard is going to be grand."

Both Odin and Bor had already analyzed Sigurd's power. They knew an Asgardian's strength naturally increased with age.

Odin looked at Sigurd, then at his father, who met his gaze. Suddenly, a voice sounded in his mind.

"Do not speak of his full power now. We have more enemies than you know. Take him to training in a few years, when he can perfectly control his strength."

Odin knew this was the right decision. Sigurd would need practical combat experience.

Meanwhile, Sigurd was caught by his mother and her sisters, unable to move. Just as he was despairing, his father and brother approached.

"Sigurd, good. Your divine power has awakened," Bor said. "Now, tell me your godhead so we may bestow an appropriate title."

Hearing his father's words, Sigurd ran to his brother's side as if escaping prison. "Father, my godhead is the God of Justice and the God of War."

A wave of surprise swept through the crowd of Asgardians. Even Odin looked startled. He had expected the God of War title, but the God of Justice held a profound and different meaning for any race of gods.

Bor heard Sigurd's words and couldn't help but laugh heartily.

"Ha ha ha! Good, very good! Henceforth, your title shall be Sigurd, the Sword of Balance!"

The people, hearing their God-King, began to chant the title.

"Sigurd, the Sword of Balance! Sigurd, the Sword of Balance!"

Bor then looked out at the crowd and announced a three-day celebration throughout Asgard in honor of the new god.

Sigurd looked at the happy faces of the Asgardian people and knew his past life was truly behind him. Now, he had to grow stronger and protect those important to him.

He then looked at his brother, knowing Odin would soon begin to conquer the Nine Realms. Great wars were coming, and Sigurd needed to learn more than just the art of war.

Odin, feeling his brother's gaze, walked over to him with two large tankards of alcohol.

"Brother, let us celebrate!"

Sigurd took the mug and drank.

"It tastes really good."

Odin was delighted to hear it. "We will travel the realms together and sample the great alcohol of every world!"

Sigurd wasn't surprised. Only a person of great wisdom and ambition could become the God-King.

"For the future of Asgard," Sigurd said, raising his tankard.

Odin heard his brother's words, raised his own mug high, and shouted, "For the future of Asgard!"

Everyone in the hall heard their prince and shouted in unison, "For the future of Asgard!"

Meanwhile, Bor and Bestla watched their sons with pride and happiness, seeing them united and ambitious.

"I look forward to the world our sons will forge," Bor said, turning to Bestla. "They will create a great history."
