Chapter 253 - Chapter 250

Gringotts Wizarding Bank was unusually quiet that morning.

Snow drifted lazily over Diagon Alley, but inside the marble halls the atmosphere was tense—sharp whispers, goblins marching a little faster than usual, as though something in the air made even them uneasy.

Roy walked in with Nagini and Bela White (formerly Bellatrix Lestrange), both glamoured, both sticking close to him. Most wizards they passed gave polite nods. Some stared. A few bowed—after all, the young Headmaster of Hogwarts was difficult not to recognize.

The Descent Into the Valvas Vault

The goblin escort led them onto a mine cart, and with a lurch, the cart shot forward. Wind tore at their cloaks, torchlight becoming streaks of orange as the track dove deep into the caverns.

Astoria would've squealed at the thrill.Hermione would've lectured him about safety charms.Daphne would've pretended she wasn't enjoying it.

Roy smiled at the thought.

The cart screeched to a halt in front of the massive doors of the Valvas Family Vault. Two goblins placed their hands on the metal surface, runes glowing faintly as the door slowly opened—

And revealed mountains of gold.

Roy had seen it before, but even he paused.

Four hundred and fifty million Galleons.

Years of income from:

The Liyue Store

Sky Jade Dynamics (Firebolt & Cleansweep merger)

His 20% + 5% of the Black Family's assets

Lestrange inheritance

Forstborn inheritance

60 million from the Quidditch Cup betting

And countless smaller ventures

A fortune worthy of an Emperor.

Nagini blinked, speechless.Bela simply whispered, "…blimey."

He raised his hand.

"System Storage."

A ripple of reality shimmered—silent, seamless—and the mountains of gold dissolved into nothing, absorbed instantly.

The vault looked empty… for one second.

Then Roy drew his zanpakutō, Kyōka Suigetsu, tapped the blade to the air, and whispered:

"Shatter."

Illusion flickered into place. An exact replica of the gold reappeared, solid to the eye, even to goblin detection.

The goblins outside saw nothing wrong.

Nagini looked at him, stunned.Bela stared with her mouth open.

"Roy," Bela said finally, "why… why take all of it?"

Nagini nodded slowly, her voice quieter but sharper."Is something coming?"

Roy sighed.

"Lucius is hunting the person who destroyed the Hufflepuff Cup horcrux," he began. "Someone bought it from him. Someone clever."

"And?" Bela pressed.

"Lucius lied to Voldemort," Roy said softly. "He blamed a random dark wizard… who Voldemort already killed."

Both women winced.

"And because Voldemort thinks he lost a horcrux," Roy finished, "he may eventually attack Gringotts to secure the rest of his assets… or destroy it outright."

Nagini's eyes widened.

"Gringotts… destroyed?"

"Not if I prepare," Roy said."And I always prepare."

Bela folded her arms, her voice proud, a little smug:"Of course you do. You're our Roy."

He turned to her with a smirk."You just like me because I saved your life."

"You did more than that," Bela said quietly, cheeks pink."You saved… me."

Nagini nodded in agreement, warm approval in her eyes.

Roy cleared his throat quickly, redirecting the moment.

"I've hidden the real gold. The goblins know nothing. Voldemort will think he sees untouched wealth and leave this vault for last."

The women exhaled in relief.

"Let's go home," Roy said."We have a war to prepare for—but not today."

They stepped into the mine cart, the vault closing silently behind them, illusion shimmering innocently in the dark.

The cart sped upward toward the surface—toward the Valvas Mansion, toward Christmas warmth, and toward a future Roy alone saw clearly.
