Because no one — absolutely NO ONE — had forgotten what Ron did earlier:Insulting the Valvas name, humiliating himself, nearly getting killed by unseen Valvas shadow guards, and then almost fainting under Roy's Conqueror's Haki.
And now he was representing Hogwarts?

The Great Hall erupted.

Students backed away from Ron as if he carried a contagious curse.
The Hufflepuffs were grieving already.
The Ravenclaws were writing mathematical proofs explaining how Ron had a –500% chance of survival.
The Slytherins were cackling.
Draco shouted,"IF WE'RE ALLOWED TO ADD EXTRA CHAMPIONS, CAN WE ADD ANYONE EXCEPT HIM?!"
Pansy Parkinson added,"Even a dead grindylow would perform better!"
Ron stood frozen in the center of the storm, pale, sweating, shaking.Even worse — the Valvas shadow guards, still invisible, just stared. Ron felt cold daggers on his spine.
Beauxbatons Reaction — Fury and Confusion
Beauxbatons was equally chaotic.
Half of them screamed that Hogwarts was cheating.
The other half just stared at Fleur, who seemed oddly calm.Because she was watching someone else:

Her sister Gabrielle giggled,"Fleur, why are you staring like that?"
"Shush, Gabrielle," Fleur muttered, still watching Roy from afar.
Madam Maxime glared at Fleur."Focus on ze tournament, not ze boy!"
Clara Valvas waved politely at Fleur — and Fleur flushed red.
Beauxbatons girls, having seen Roy's grandparents arrive in a military helicopter, whispered:"Roy's family is scary.""No, they're majestic.""They're like royalty.""Ron Weasley insulted THAT family?! Oh, he's dead."
Durmstrang Reaction — Rage and Fear
Durmstrang students roared in indignation.
"Two champions for Hogwarts? Cheaters!""They dishonor the competition!"
Karkaroff stomped like an angry troll.
Viktor Krum muttered, "I should have stayed home…"
Ivan Dragovich, the second Durmstrang champion, whispered,"I am not dying for this competition, Viktor. I am too handsome to perish."
But then they noticed Darius Valvas standing nearby.
Grand Duke. War hero. Retired general.
Durmstrang immediately shut up.
Karkaroff pretended Durmstrang had never complained."We welcome balance and fairness. Yes. Excellent idea. Perfect."
Teachers React — Absolute Chaos
McGonagall slapped her forehead."Of all students… why him?!"
Snape rubbed his temples."This is not a triwizard tournament. This is a circus."
Flitwick squeaked,"Ronald Weasley? Oh dear…"
Madame Maxime sighed loudly.
Moody growled,"The boy's gonna get eaten by something big."

Ron scrambled away anytime Roy passed by, acting like Roy was a dementor.

Fleur walked toward Roy but froze when she saw Grayfia.
The "Silver Queen" herself.
Even Fleur felt intimidated.

The jealousy was thick enough to cut with a sword.
