Collin's POV
Like every cursed night for the past twenty-seven years, I jolt awake drenched in cold sweat. The nightmare grips me again, leaving me gasping and disoriented in the darkness of my room. But just like every other time, the moment consciousness fully returns, every detail vanishes like smoke.
Twenty-seven years of the same torment, and I cannot recall even a fragment. No faces, no voices, no scents that might give me a clue about what haunts my sleep. Nothing but the suffocating feeling of being trapped and the lingering dread that something terrible happened.
Initially, I believed the nightmares connected to Chadwick somehow. We were close once, before everything went wrong that night I can never remember. But as years dragged on with no answers surfacing from my subconscious, I abandoned hope of finding meaning in these dreams.
