Nearly a full day had passed since our return to Silverthorn Eclipse Pack, and those twenty-four hours felt like an eternity spent in confinement on the Beta floor. The familiar walls that once brought comfort now seemed to close in around me, a constant reminder of the secrets we carried.
Collin and Atticus had thrown themselves into their Beta duties for Ted, maintaining the facade that nothing had changed. None of us had breathed a word about what transpired at the Palace or the earth-shattering revelations that came with it. The weight of that silence pressed against my chest like a stone.
