--------------------------------

Days passed by plainly like this. This godforsaken place saw neither sun nor sky. Plus, Madara had blocked the exit and several tunnel entrances completely, so Aoha and Obito, unable to go outside, had no idea how much time had actually passed.

However, as his appetite gradually increased and his originally malnourished body slowly recovered with even some meat appearing on his face, Aoha was quite happy with these changes.

And Obito, through desperately working at recovery and fitness day after day, gradually regained partial mobility. At least now he could stand and walk on his own without needing White Zetsu clones to support him.

The fusion with the artificial body was proceeding very smoothly. At this rate, Obito would probably fully recover within a year or so.

On this day, Aoha was doing his 'usual thing' of sitting on Obito's back, clutching his large bowl while gorging, while beneath him Obito rose and fell with difficulty, sweat continuously sliding down his cheeks.

"998, 999, 1000!"

Thud!

After completing a thousand push-ups in a 'weighted' state in one breath, Obito finally couldn't hold on anymore and flopped directly on the ground.

"Finally adapted to this body. Just wait, I'll be able to see you soon, Rin, Kakashi." Obito, whose hair had grown much longer, thought silently while feeling the power surging within his body.

Meanwhile, Aoha instantly stuffed the last piece of meat into his mouth and flipped off Obito's back in one motion.

Though Madara still hadn't taught him any cultivation methods during this time, he had successfully learned some of the most basic physical training from this dummy Obito, and during his spare time had joined Obito in 'rehabilitation.' At least he hadn't turned into a little fatty and had gained considerable strength.

As for everything he'd been doing, Madara had been watching the whole time but said and did nothing.

He neither stopped him from training alone nor taught him anything, just like complete neglect, incomparable to the care given to Obito.

This gradually made Aoha develop bad thoughts, suspecting he'd guessed something wrong. Since Madara displayed an attitude of completely not needing him, why save him and let him stay here freeloading?

There must be some reason he didn't know about!

But no matter how he tried indirect questioning with White Zetsu clones, he couldn't get anything out of them, making him almost believe this old geezer was actually a kindhearted philanthropist.

Just then, White Zetsu's figure suddenly emerged from the wall, urgently calling to Obito: "I just went outside. That Rin and idiot Kakashi you mentioned are in bad shape!"

Aoha, who was about to wash dishes, suddenly stopped in his tracks.

Was it finally beginning?

After waiting so long, it seemed Madara's arrangements were completely finished. Now they just needed Obito, the actor, to take his position.

And he could use this opportunity to complete his mission and leave this godforsaken place.

Just when this day truly arrived, for some reason, he couldn't feel happy at all.

Because soon, that dummy deadlast Obito would completely disappear, replaced by the Uchiha Second Madara that Madara had single-handedly created, someone 'born' from hell who wanted to overturn the entire world, a pitiful person who couldn't find true release even in death.

Though they hadn't spent that much time together, after several months of constant companionship and bickering with each other, he had to admit he didn't dislike this dummy.

Even though Obito never admitted to being his little brother under his protection.

So should he really let this dummy experience that endlessly dark, despairing scene?

Aoha clenched his fists hard. He really wanted to tell Obito the truth, to tell him not to go, but he also knew that the moment he opened his mouth, he would die without a burial place!

Madara, who had schemed for so long, would never allow anyone to ruin his plans at this moment.

Much less him, a helpless little brat who could be crushed with one hand.

So to survive, he could only pretend to know nothing.

"I'm sorry. Please forgive my selfishness."

"What happened!?"

"They're both surrounded by Hidden Mist Village ninjas!"

The instant White Zetsu shouted this, Obito's expression immediately changed drastically. Without thinking, he leapt up from the ground and rushed to the tremendously heavy stone door, then smashed down with all his might!

However, his full-force punch merely shattered the door's surface. Instead, his newly adapted artificial right arm, unable to withstand such an impact, broke off and fell to the ground.

Obito groaned painfully, then covered the broken right arm with his left hand.

"You can't break through this stone door with your current body."

The White Zetsu clone with a head painted like concentric circles jumped directly behind him, stating this fact.

"I have to go save Kakashi and Rin."

Obito's persistence seemed to move it. "Then wear my body."

As it spoke, this White Zetsu clone directly enveloped Obito's body.

"Aren't you Madara's subordinates? Why?"

"Let's go. Don't you want to save Kakashi and Rin? If you're late..."

"Thank you!"

BOOM!

Obito, sold out without even knowing it, stepped forward after thanking them and directly smashed through the entire stone door with one punch!

"Using the statue's power while connected to its roots, well done." The White Zetsu in the wall praised without stinginess.

"Are you leaving?"

Only at this moment did Madara seem to react, raising his head to ask quietly.

"You saved me, and I'm grateful. But I have to leave. I must."

"You're too hasty. It might still be too early to thank me now."

"I don't think I'll be coming back."

At this moment, Aoha bit his lip and walked out, saying, "Do you really have to go? Your body still..."

Noticing Aoha's concerned look, Obito's heart warmed, and a smile appeared on his face. "I have to go! Thanks for taking care of me all this time. When the war ends, I'll come back to get you as promised, or you can have White Zetsu take you to Konoha. You'll definitely see me again there."

Sigh!

Aoha sighed helplessly inwardly. When he spoke up just now, Madara had already glanced at him imperceptibly.

He'd taken such a huge risk. Everything he could hint at, he'd already hinted at. But this dummy Obito still thought he couldn't bear to see him leave. With this level of intelligence, there really was no saving him.

"Anyway, I've already thanked you. I'm leaving."
