Moment after the message was convied preparation started for the entry to the town after all even if they defeated the enemy a one or two will always evade capture and if they try to assassinate the baron while getting inside the town that will be a huge blow to his prestige,gravitas and standing among the people as that will portray him more like a conqueror than the rightful owner taking back what's his and saving the populace from a usurper like Dylan.
So Carl was giving a orders left and right:' I want soldiers on both side of the road until we reach the castle also put some musketeers on the part of the wall and the watchtowers that are still standing but the most important thing remember do not antagonize the people or start any fight after I want you start patrols all over the town made of two squads to intimidae any trouble makers am I clear '.

Carl was looking around of him he couldn't stop himself from admiring the army who worked efficiently if given enough time and experience they could rival or even beat those well known and feared knight orders who are well known fro their discipline and prowess he himself want to join the knight order of light knowen for serving the mighty deity who cares control the law of light and also for eliminating anything that will hurt humanity no matter the cost the only reason that stopped before from joining is that he was serving the Pendragon clan.

After the battle for the town was concluded and making necessary preparation, Damien, Carl and kikyou went and others on horseback into Manheim.
He surveyed the port town that he just took control over, it only took him a brief of looking around to conclude that it's size was lot larger than Stonehenge probably three times than the main town of the barrony truly show casing the impact of marine trade on a town.

After some discussion among Damien and Carl, they decided that a company will be left to guard the gate. Then the rest of the battalion number two, divided into platoons, spread out to search for any remaining soldiers or supporters of Dylan.
At same time Carl advised him to Sen two companies to guard the docks and keep order their as any problems in that part of the town may cause unrest in the whole town which may turn into riot and that the last thing they need now.
Damien agreed with the proposal of Carl.
Damien along with Carl and kikyou escorted by a dozen cavalry man and three platoons of legionnaires and musketeers, headed towards the lord manor in the town, which intelligence indicated was the main residence of Dylan and also his headquarters. Damien hoped to find some valuable like elemental crystals or special gems or tomes related to magic, as from various intelligence he received Dylan was a magician and also hoarded a lot of wealth either as bribe or gifts or simply through questionable means.
As for the residents of town most had their doors shut, fearing of being lootedi. The streets were silent, filled with anticipation of how the baron will deal with them will he show mercy or implacte them to take their wealth but for the time being only the sound of marching troops and some screams could be heard from time to time.
Meanwhile Damien and hi entourage has arrived at the manor he found Siegfried waiting he saluted him and said' welcome my lord we have secured the manor their it no danger here as for valuables and belongings of the traitor we left as they were waiting for you arrival '.
Damien nodded and said:'you have done a good job let's get inside and see what that traitor left before he run let's hope he left something of value'.

So he took the stairsand went down after some time he arrived at a big door made from aan alloy of iron and something else it looks sturdy Damien opened and went inside found some chemical equipment and components,some potions,jars holding different part of animals and creatures so he started searching the entire lab for meaningful loot some that will help in his path after some searching 🔍 which concluded by turning the lab upside down he found three things four things vial containing the blood of some ancient creature Damien could feel the power from it the second thing a balck Scepter that he could feel dark energy element coming from it third a simple looking stone but he could feel sucking energy around I and finaly a tome that describe the life of a grade three mage .
Just this things he found made this whole comparing to retake the town and nevermind what the other may found specially whene searching the library hopefully some books about witchcraft, element and casting spells.
So he took his loot went out to the throne room to see what others found after he will order them to look for people responsible for running the town like the Maire and administration staff to have an idea of the make-up of the town then tomorrow he will address the residents of the town and also have some meetings with merchants specially those running the slave market as he need a lot of people if he want to build his barony not to speak an empire for vampire 🦇.
So after he returned he found that everyone is their apparently he is the last to arrive he could see a smile on Carl and kikyou face he asked what they found Carl answered first:' my lord we are lucky it seems that Dylan in hi rush to leave has left the treasure inside of it around fifty thousand gold my lord'.
Hearing this made Damien happy as he can use this money to start those projects he has in mind in the town and also implement a tax reduction here thus gaining the support of the people and simulating the economy at the same time he said:'good job Carl it's really I much needed gift hhhhh'.
Then kikyou spoke :' lord a found a bunch must read books for mages like "The Behavior of Elementium"-"How To Cast A Huge earth spike"-"Controling Techniques of the shadow Element"'.
He couldn't be happier this Dylan was his lucky star he left a treasury and enough knowledge to supplement his he must thank him some day he said :' you too have done a good job kikyou thanks 🙏 '.

The he started discussing his plan with them in the end he decided to hold his speech in th town plaza tomorrow morning as for meeting the Maire and administration staff it has to wait until they are located as for the merchant that was easier from the looks some have already sent messengers expressing their gratitude for liberating from the tyrant Dylan and asking for a meeting with him as for meeting that will have to wait after the speech 💬.
As for now he will take a rest for the day happy with was achieved today.
