Chapter 83 - Return and Meeting

Garrett couldn't really be called a loyal follower of HYDRA.

He'd only joined them later, sensing the shift in the winds.

The same went for Agent Ward, young and promising, with outstanding abilities; neither of them had been brainwashed by HYDRA's ideology.

"Are you going to keep resisting?"

Shen He looked at Agent Ward, who was still pointing his gun at him.

Ward stared at Shen He's expressionless face and finally chose to lower his weapon.

He was an agent, not a fanatic. The situation was indeed hopeless.

"Coulson, take the prisoners. We're going back. We still need you for a lot of things." Shen He turned and walked away.

"That's the best thing I've heard all day."

Coulson picked up his pistol from the ground and followed Shen He, escorting the two of them.

He was clearly surprised to see Kusuko Saiki when they left, but he could also roughly guess the young girl's identity.

"This is Kusuko Saiki, Kusuo Saiki's sister. She's here to cover for her brother for a day," Shen He explained simply.

"Thank you for saving me. I really didn't expect… are you twins?" Coulson couldn't help but be shocked by Chaldea's strength.

Kusuo Saiki was already incredibly powerful; to have another one was astonishing.

"Alright, take us back, big dog."

Shen He clapped his hands, and the large dog that had been waiting in the corridor lifted its head, disappearing with everyone.

When he reappeared, he was back at the company's main base. Garrett now understood why he'd been captured so quickly.

This ability to instantly arrive anywhere in the world, coupled with the mysterious ability to foresee the future, made his attempts to hide, no matter where he went or how carefully he planned, as simple and laughable as a child's game of hide-and-seek.

"I really regret this, Coulson," Garrett said, looking at Coulson before being taken away. "If HYDRA hadn't found me, how great would that be? It's them who brought me to this point."

"You chose your own path," Coulson replied, his expression calm as he looked at his old friend.

Now, he had seen through the man's true nature; most of what he had seen before was a facade.

"Coulson, go see your old friends first, then gather them in the conference room for a meeting," Shen He stretched his body.

He wanted to take a shower, eat dinner, and then sort out what he needed to do next. Indeed, it was more comfortable to be back home.

"Understood," Coulson quickly entered work mode.

"Does the Master still have things to do?" Jeanne walked a few steps to catch up with Shen He.

"Yes, since I've gathered these agents, I should assign them some tasks."

"In that case... about what time will you be finished?" Jeanne asked again.

"Hard to say." Shen He glanced at his watch. "Jeanne, do you have something you want to do? If you want to learn to read, come to my room tonight. There should be time to teach you some before rest."

"Yes..." Jeanne replied, running off with her head down.

Shen He didn't pay much attention and quickly resolved his own matters. Then, after a simple preparation of documents, he came to the conference room.

Including Steve, all the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents gathered so far were present, and there were many new faces.

"Everyone." Shen He's expression was calm as he surveyed the room. "You all know the reason for S.H.I.E.L.D.'s downfall. Whether you consider this group the new S.H.I.E.L.D. or an intelligence agency for Chaldea, I sincerely hope you can integrate yourselves. In the future, Coulson will lead you, responsible for Chaldea's logistical support and follow-up matters."

The room was silent.

However, Coulson was leading the meeting, which put many of the newcomers at ease.

Most of them had chosen to join,

not just out of bewilderment, but also because of the sudden change in their environment, instinctively gravitating towards a similar one. With Coulson as the leader, they could at least find a sense of familiarity.

"So, let me outline our primary task," Shen He said, turning on the large screen behind him. "Chaldea has established an alliance with the Inhuman kingdom of Attilan on the moon. Today, we helped their king quell a rebellion. Next, we will deepen the alliance process, including material trade, technological exchange, and military support, among other things."

Just the first point caused some logistics agents and technical personnel in the audience to exclaim in surprise.

The screen displayed the Inhuman city of Attilan on the moon.

On the moon, so close to Earth, there was actually such a prosperous kingdom.

If this were made public, it would likely cause a sensation in the international community on Earth. In today's world, where exploring outer space is increasingly valued, this kingdom had already established such a massive base on the moon, implying access to precious resources and even the possibility of space colonization.

Some agents began to realize they had joined an organization far more significant than S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Sir, we need more personnel."

Coulson glanced at the agents below, mostly field operatives and researchers.

"That's your problem," Shen He decisively passed the issue to Coulson. "I'm not like Fury. You don't need to ask me about every little thing. I will give you sufficient trust because... no one can deceive us. You can also trust each other. The situation in S.H.I.E.L.D. won't happen here."

Shen He's confidence was evident in his final few words.

The biggest difference between Chaldea and S.H.I.E.L.D. was that no matter how powerful it became, its core would always be Shen He and his Servants.

"It seems I'll need some time to adjust," Coulson said with a wry smile.

Subsequently, Shen He detailed the current situation of Attilan, including the main figures, the difficulties they faced, Chaldea's principles in promoting the covenant, and the goals they hoped to achieve.

"Agent Lance," Shen He called out to Lance in the audience after he finished, "Go and bring the twin captives, and the Inhuman named Lincoln. Be careful, they're dangerous."

"Yes, sir." Agent Lance stood up and left.

Originally, he had stood up as a representative opposing the idea of staying, but after witnessing Chaldea's scope today, he became a representative willing to stay.

He didn't have to wait long before Agent Lance brought the three captives to the meeting.

They were all wearing electric shock collars to ensure they could be controlled immediately.

"Coulson, there's another matter that needs to be investigated." Shen He looked at the twins. "Ten years ago, someone used a shell with Stark's name on it to kill their parents. You know that at the time, Tony's uncle, Obadiah, had secret dealings with terrorists. Regardless of whether the shells were manufactured by Stark Industries, I need you to help them find their real enemies."
