Chapter 8 - The Encounter

Time flew after I passed. The last thing I remembered was seeing the kind face of the nurse, but now she was gone... I shouldn't be worried about that, right?

"Sigh, it really seems this place isn't heaven after all; it's some kind of magic world, but how did I end up here in the first place? It couldn't be linked to the train incident, could it? Nah, I doubt it would have anything to do with why I'm in a young girl's body and in a strange world that apparently seems like a fantasy. of make-believe."

I began to get up from the hospital bed as slowly as possible as to not make a sound and alert anyone. Right now I have only one mission: to find out more information about this strange world and why I was brought here. After all, there must be a reason for me being here; everything in life has its reasons for happening.

I took one step out of the infirmary room the halls were dark and gloomy, my mom often told me scary stories about how ghosts would come out at night and come and eat me if i dont behave and go to bed early.. i always thought it was away for her to get me to go to bed early i was a troubled child i must say since mom left dad it hasnt been the same i really do love my family and i try my best at everything i do but i just cant understand why somtimes i do it in hopes i can please them and get attention id always crave now im all grown up a little it seems a bit silly to beleive in ghost at my age but hey who am i to make decisions on whether they exist or not and right now i feel like im up for a suprise.

I take a turn to my left trying to find my way out. I really can't believe myself sometimes. I worked hard to get where I am with my smarts, and I can't even remember the way I came in before???

UGHHH!!!

THIS IS SUCH A NIGHTMARE!!

it feels like I've passed this old broken-down break room like six to seven times how the hell am I going to get out, dammit?

Wait—

What if there are any workers still here? I know it sounds crazy, but maybe there are some cleaners here or people who close up this place.

As I was walking down another hall, I started to put my hand up to my right cheek to try and shout as loud as I could, "Umm, hellooo??? Is anyone there? If so, I'd like some directions to the exit, please. I'm lost, and I need to go home to my family, so if you can please help me, I'd really appreciate it. Looking around my environment, I didn't notice how creepy this hospital would be at night. I'm getting chills right down my back with how cold it is and the broken flickering light on the top over me. Luckily, I didn't need to worry about anything jumping after much longer because I heard a noise from upstairs in one of the rooms, so I headed toward the room. My footsteps echoed through the hallway as I held on tight to the railings on the stairs. As I began to run up the stairs, I needed to hurry; I couldn't miss my chance to finally find a way out of here.

My feet came to a sudden stop. I had to hold on to the doorframe that was left strangely open. I was never an athletic person from the start!! All I did was spend my days reading novels and comics while studying for school and preparing for exams; I was also a very lazy person. So with the slightest exercises I had to do, I'd always be out of breath, and I was with how tightly I was holding on to the doorframe, which soon slipped down to the handle as I held my head up before standing straight, wiping the sweat dripping from my forehead.

"Phew."

After catching my breath, I decided it was time to ask the stranger who was in the room. I called out to them in a shy voice as I walked in; I held one hand at the back of my head. and held an awkward smile and tried to be as pleasant as possible. Good day, sir, miss, or ma'am. I would like to ask if you are available for just one question if you have time. I don't want to bother your busy schedule."

I found it odd at first; when I entered the room, there was light in here, and the papers were scattered around the area, as well as furniture. It looked as if a storm had just blown past this room, and that wasn't the only thing I thought was odd. The person i was looking at didn't turn around to face me Their back was hunched over the desk as if they were staring at something deeply. I took a few steps forward, reaching out my hand to gently tap the shoulder of the man.

"Grrr."

"Sir, are you okay? I just noticed you weren't answering me, and I'd like to know where the nearest exit is.

GWwwwwarghhhah!!!!

Ahh!!!

I fell flat on my rear. The look of sheer horror on my face was from what I was meeting face-to-face with a few minutes ago. This man was just a human, but now he suddenly morphed into this... Hell, was I an animal...? no beast, but I've read every book and studied every article about them, and this is something I've never seen or read This thing is much different. It had long, thick, yellow-black horns, fangs of a hybrid wolf, and the fur and size of a woolly mammoth. not to mention those long claws that could slice a mountain in half... and its eyes... were bulging out their sockets, and it emitted a glow of magic from it This thing doesn't look human. No way it is, but if it is not human or animal, then...part beast? No, no, that's wrong. That's not human nor beast; that's a freaking monster!!!

"RAWWRRRRR!!!!" "Snarrrgh!!!"

"I GOTTA GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!!!"

I sprang on my heels and mustered the strength I had left and sprinted down the hall as fast as I could.
