Draken once again sat in the boardroom, he'd resumed his schedule, with his packed meetings.....after his lunch date. He kept checking on his phone every after five minutes, anxiously waiting for Emma's text or call, like she'd promised.
FLASHBACK
A few hours ago~~~~~~
"You don't need to send me back, you have to stay here and handle your work, I'll manage on my own" Emma told him, after they'd finished eating.
"But I really want to just go with you, why don't we just run away together, where no one knows us,away from all this" Draken hugged her from behind.
He was tired of it all
"What do you say?" He leaned in closer and whispered in her ear. Tightening his arms around her.
"Then that would be so selfish of me, wanting to keep you all for myself. Draken, I'm not the only one who needs you, Ouracle needs you too" Emma was such an understanding wife.
Unlike Draken who wanted her undivided and full attention, Emma was willing to share his time and attention with his family business.
"I'm going to miss you terribly, you're not yet gone but I feel your absence already" Draken buried his head in her neck again.
He was just too addicted to her physical touch, and loved cuddling with her.
"Fine, I promise I'll call you when I get to the café, after your work, you can come pick me up and we'll go shopping for groceries again. Is that okay?"She asked, holding onto his arms.
"Whatever you say, you're the boss"

"Boss!!" Erick's voice brought him back to reality, from his lost world.
Everyone's attention in the room was now on him, waiting for what he had to comment.
Yet he wasn't even listening in the first place!!
"President Hunt, we need your view on the presentation" one of the employees said.
Before he could reply, he received the text he was anxiously waiting for.
"The presentation was satisfactory, keep up the good work. Meeting adjourned" he said with a blank expression, before he stood up and left, Shaun and Erick following closely behind him.
"Did you hear what he just said? Keep up the good work? Did heaven descend on earth today" the employees were surprised.
He'd never praised them like that, in fact, it was the first meeting he sat calmly without any interruptions or firing anyone.
"Today must be our lucky day"
President's office~~~~
"Just arrived at the café, you don't have to worry, hubby"
Draken read the text, and his mood changed right away, he found himself smiling unexpectedly.
Erick and Shaun watched from a distance, not bothering to interrupt him. They knew that only one person could make him smile like that, his wife.
'Remember, I'll pick you up from work so don't leave without me. I love you'
He texted back.
'Yes, yes, I remember, I love you more'
She replied.
"Gosh, suddenly, are we back in the teenage days where he can blush so much over a text!!" Erick said, watching Draken from the sides.
"Its been long since we last saw him smile like that, just leave him be" Shaun replied.
The last time they ever saw him that happy was before his mother's death. Draken, Erick and Shaun go a long way back since childhood...when they were all orphaned at a young age. Their bond was unbreakable then, more so now that they work together with Draken as their boss.
His smile vanished after he was adopted, with David treating him like a bastard, giving him nothing but horrible memories that still haunt him even now.

No wonder they're always at each other's neck, trying to get rid of each other, competing for their dad's empire.

At the cafe ~~~~~~
"He really does know how to be a perfect husband" Emma chuckled, thinking about Draken, before the door swung open and a complaining Ruby stormed in.
"The nerve of that guy!!! Does he think because he dresses in luxury suits he can have his way!"
"What happened to you?"Emma asked confused.
"That assistant to your husband! He won't stop bothering me, God knows how he got my contacts" Ruby continued to complain.
But ofcourse, Erick was a top computer hacker, that would be easy for him
"Just relax Ruby, he has no bad intentions" Emma replied, laughing at her.
"Oh yeah! Then how do you explain all this nonsense he keeps on going about going out together!!" She yelled.
Totally clueless
"Isn't it obvious, he wants to be friends or maybe he likes you" Emma replied.
"What? Like Me?? Impossible" Ruby said,
"Maybe you like him too" Emma teased her.
"No way, my taste in men is someone like your husband, not some wierdo" Ruby replied.
"Then go out with him, if you don't like him, you won't mind spending some little time with him" She continuously teased her behavior.
What was she so mad about if she didn't like him?
"Emma, table 7 asked for you again" her boss interrupted them.
Who could be looking for her?
Emma went outside the changing room to table number 7.
"Alex??" She asked as soon as she saw the unexpected person.
"How did you find out that I work here?" She asked immediately.
"Samantha told me, Emma sit, we really need to talk, please" Alex pleaded with her. His constant meetings made Emma grow suspicious of him,like he wanted something from her. If Draken found out about this, he wouldn't spare Alex,no matter who he was to her.
"Five minutes only," Emma said as she sat down.
"Tell me, what do you want?"
"Emma, uncle will soon be back in the city, he'll find out what happened today and he'll definitely find out about your marriage. I haven't told anyone about it, but it's bound to surface soon" Alex spoke calmly, his voice full of worry for her.
"Alex, I really appreciate that you haven't told anyone about my marriage, please keep it that way, as for my dad, don't worry so much about him. I'm ready for him" Emma replied.
"Why don't you just divorce him already, to avoid any trouble....." Alex tried to say but she cut him off.
"I will not divorce Draken, I will not leave him, not for anything or anyone" Emma's voice hinted anger.
She stood up and was ready to leave, but Alex grabbed her hand and stopped her.
"Emma, don't you remember the last words you said to me before I left. You said you liked me and wanted to start a relationship with me...are you giving that up for that man" Alex said, tightening his grip on her hand.
"Alex, that was a long time back, honestly, I didn't really like you. I was just grateful that you were there for me when no one was. If this is what this is all about, and you want to be with me, forget it,you're just my cousin and I love someone else... goodbye" Emma replied, removing his hand from hers and walking away.
Alexander was truly heartbroken, he came back for her, hoping she'd still be waiting for him but she belonged to someone else now ...she loved someone else.
Was he going to give up just like that?

"I enjoy working the afternoon shifts,not so many customers and less work" Emma, currently changing out of her café uniform said to Ruby.
"Well, it's closing time already, shall we head home together?"Ruby asked.
"No, you can go on ahead, I'll lock up, my husband will come pick me up" Emma replied.
"Awwww, I really want such kind of attention and love....but wait,do you think he'll come with that assistant of his?" Ruby asked curious.
"His name is Erick and yeah,I think he will" Emma replied.
"Then I'll be leaving now before he shows his face here, by the way, take an umbrella it might rain tonight...bye" Ruby said before she ran out.
She was avoiding Erick.
Emma finalized with her clothes and fixed her hair, before she went out and closed off the café.
Draken's car pulled up the moment she finished locking, like he was already around, just waiting for her to come out.
"I'm not late am I?" He asked as soon as he got out of the car.
"No, you're right on time" she replied, before she kissed him lightly.
"Then let's go," Draken wanted to take her to the car, but she suggested..
"The grocery store is just close by, let's just walk there" she didn't wait for his reply, and just dragged him along.
At the grocery store~~~~
"Uncle, I'm back" Emma's sudden presence surprised the cashier, but he froze the moment he saw Draken coming in right behind.
"Whenever I come here, he gives me everything for free isn't he just too kind?" Emma was clueless about it, but seeing her happy made Draken happier.
"You're really generous sir, thank you" he pretended to shake hands with him, but midway, he squeezed the man's palm.
"My pleasure sir, anything for your wife" he finally let go.
"Come on honey, let's do some shopping" Draken himself pulled out two carts while Emma followed closely behind him, picking out whatever she liked in every row.
After all, it was free
"Thanks for coming, feel free to come back again" the cashier faked a smile while handing Draken the bags after their shopping.
"Yeah we shall thanks uncle, have a good night" Emma said, before they both went out, and the cashier finally sighed in relief.

"Isn't it heavy, let me help" Emma said, trying to take some bags Draken was carrying.
"No, I don't want you to get hurt carrying it" Draken replied,
Wasn't he just over reacting?
The weather was changing, it was more windy and showing signs of raining soon, Emma remembered when Ruby told her it'd rain tonight.
She also remembered that Erick once told her that Draken was ombrophobic.
They'd just reached close to the nearest bus station, and it started raining. Draken stood still in one place, when all his memories came rushing back, he threw down the bags he was holding and knelt on the ground, with his hands covering his ears.
"Noo! Noo! Stop!! Noo!!" He screamed,
He was in pain
"Draken, hey Draken, it's okay" Emma rushed towards him, and knelt down in front of him, holding his hands that covered his ears.
"Noo!! Noo!!" Draken's head was filled with nothing but horrible memories at the moment.
His trauma
"Shhhh, nothing will happen to you, I'm here for you Draken, no one will hurt you"she said, slowly lifting him up from the ground.
"Just focus on me, listen to my voice" She continued to say.
He was off the ground, and she slowly took him into the rain, without him even realizing it. He was so focused on Emma and her lips moving.
"See, there's nothing to worry about, no one will hurt you" Emma smiled, at him, reassuring him that nothing bad will happen to him.
Draken immediately pulled her into a tight embrace, not caring about the fact that they were getting drenched in rain.
"Emma thank you, thank you so much for being here with me"
Thanks to her, he'd got over his trauma.
