Today I woke up just when my alarm rang at 7:20. I did not feel really rested, but I have to go to lab. I got dressed and went to make myself breakfast and lunch.
After I ate my breakfast and prepped my lunch, did my morning hygiene, it was around 8:30 when I left for lab. I walked to bus station, as I usually do. I'm lucky my place has straight connection to the lab and also university.
By 9:10 I was at lab and was ready to continue with plasmid extraction I have culture growing for from yesterday. Unfortunately I forgot last week my leader told me we would plant transformation for my graduation thesis. So I was quite surprised with all the work I have to do today. By the time I finished my plasmide extraction and first step in transformation protocol, it was already 11:50 and I had time to eat my lunch in our "main" room with others, real research institute employees. After lunch and few words with other I went to do the sterile work and transform my leaf slices with agrobacterium.
Around 15:30 I was finished and waited for my leader. Meanwhile our lab manager came to me and worked with me on my temporary employment. In other words, there are some surplus founds and are fit to be awarded to us undergrad/grad students. After there was discussion about old former lead researcher preparing for definite retirement, after few decades in our lab. After those talks and little bit of waiting, not seeing my leader coming back anytime soon, I went home.
Moment I came home, I sit behind PC and watched YouTube and serie I started watching some time ago. At 19:50 I mad myself a dinner - a lone sandwich with ketchup, cheese and ham. After that I watched series til midnight and then changed filter in my water filtration pot. After that I went to shower myself and wrote this masterpiece.
