Chapter 4 - Ch3: Synchronisation

The wheel began to spin again, faster than before — golden streaks of light flashing across the void like shooting stars. The hum grew louder, deeper, as though the very fabric of the space around them was resonating with fate itself.

Raj watched, tense but excited.

"C'mon, gimme something good this time…"

After a few seconds, the wheel slowed — then clicked to a stop.

Ding!

A brilliant, silver-blue light burst forth from the panel, wrapping the space in a dazzling glow.

The text materialized before him in radiant letters:

[Eyes of Revelation]

 [Type: Divine Gift]

[Description: Grants the wielder the sight to perceive truth beyond illusion.

Allows the user to see through deception, analyze the strength, race, and spiritual essence of all mortal beings.

Can appraise treasures, techniques, and concealed energies with absolute accuracy.

This power remains dormant against immortals and divine beings—until the user ascends to such a realm himself.]

Raj's eyes widened — literally sparkling.

"Fuck yeah! Finally, something good!" he shouted, pumping his fist.

The being remained motionless, the faint silver light under its hood flickering slightly.

"Indeed," it said in its calm, ancient tone. "Great fortune, young mortal. Such a gift will guide your path… if you learn to use it well."

Raj smirked. "Hell yeah, I'll use it. Maybe I'll finally see what kind of cursed crap that heart really is."

The being gave no reply, simply watching him in silence, its robe fluttering slightly though no wind existed here.

After a long pause, its voice echoed again, deeper this time:

"Two fates now rest upon you — the curse and the gift.

But your final chance remains.

Spin once more… and let destiny decide the rest."

Raj cracked his knuckles, his grin returning. "Alright, last roll. Let's see if I can pull something broken this time."

The wheel began to shimmer again, brighter than before — almost impatient, as if it too was eager to see how this mortal's luck would end.

The wheel was spinning for the third and final time.

Its glow pulsed rhythmically, faster and faster — as though even fate itself was holding its breath. Raj leaned forward, his heart pounding in sync with the spinning light.

"Alright… last one. Come on, don't screw me over now…" he whispered under his breath.

The humming reached its peak — then began to slow.

Each click echoed through the void like a ticking clock counting down his destiny.

Click… click… click…

Ding!

The wheel stopped.

A soft peach-colored light blossomed from one of the slots — not golden, not dark, just… warm. In the air before Raj, something began to take shape.

The glow condensed, twisting slowly until it revealed , a slight bigger than basketball size egg, floating gently in mid-air. It was smooth and polished like marble, its surface glowing faintly with streaks of faint gold veins running through its peach-colored shell. Strange runic markings shimmered across it for an instant before vanishing.

The panel before him flickered, displaying the new text:

[Egg of Unknown Identity]

[Type: ???]

[Status: Dormant]

[Description: Life slumbers within. Its nature, race, and power remain beyond the reach of even divine sight.]

Raj stared at it.

Then blinked.

Then blurted out—

"The fuck?! An egg?!"

He pointed at it like it had personally offended him.

"For all that luck, I get a fucking egg? This isn't even loot — it's breakfast!"

The hooded being, of course, didn't flinch.

"Your choices have been made, young soul," it said serenely.

"The wheel grants only what fate deems fit."

Raj's jaw dropped. "What kind of gacha scam is this?! I should've gotten a badass sword skill or something! Not… poultry!"

"Your chances are over,"

the being replied calmly, as the void began to ripple around them.

"Now… it is time."

Raj's protest was cut short as the world around him began to collapse into light.

"Wait! Fuck—hold on, at least tell me what's in the—!"

Before he could finish, his vision blurred, the white expanse stretching infinitely and then folding in on itself.

The last thing he saw was the mysterious being raising a hand — and the faint, cryptic words that followed him into the dark:

 "Every end… hides a beginning."

Then, silence.

Everything went black.

Raj's consciousness stirred.

A dull ache pulsed in his head as he slowly opened his eyes. For a moment, everything was a blur — just light, shadows, and a throbbing reminder that he had definitely been through something unreal.

Then it all rushed back — the hooded figure, the cursed heart, the glowing wheel, the egg—

Raj shot upright.

"Fuck! That hooded bastard was really rude!" he shouted into the open air.

His voice echoed faintly through the trees. A gentle breeze brushed past, carrying the scent of grass and soil. Slowly, he gathered his thoughts, rubbing his temples.

"Alright, alright… calm down. Seems like I've really been transmigrated. For a second, I thought it was just one weird-ass dream."

He exhaled, then finally looked around.

He was lying on a patch of uneven ground surrounded by what looked like a sparse forest. The trees were tall but scattered, sunlight slipping through in golden rays. Just beyond them, he could see open fields stretching endlessly, swaying under the breeze. Birds chirped somewhere in the distance — natural, serene, almost too peaceful.

"Okay… not bad. At least I didn't land in a dungeon or some creepy demon nest."

He looked down at himself next. His clothes were rough — a brown, ragged shirt made of coarse fabric, the kind you'd see in some medieval RPG village, and mud-colored pants that felt more like work clothes than anything else.

His body… felt different.

He flexed his hands, then ran them along his arms — thicker, sturdier. His muscles were well-defined, not bulky like a gym rat's, but lean and strong — the kind of build you'd get from years of hard labor.

He stood up, stretching a little. His height felt roughly the same, maybe an inch taller.

When he touched his face, his fingers traced sharp features — high cheekbones, a defined jawline.

"Well damn," he murmured with a smirk, "seems like I ain't that ugly in this life either."

He paused, suddenly realizing something was missing.

"Wait a second… why the fuck am I not hearing any system voice? Where's the part where some hot goddess AI welcomes me or gives me my starter kit?"

As if on cue, a clear ding! echoed in his head. As a blue pannel screen appeared in front of him with a female voice.

[Congratulations, Host, on successful transmigration. I am your System Interface — created to assist and guide you through your new life.]

[Please use me as you see fit, without restriction or hesitation.]

Raj blinked. Then, a grin spread slowly across his face.

"Well… now that's more like it."

Raj crossed his arms, grinning with anticipation.

"Alright, System… show me my status."

A soft chime echoed in his head.

[As you wish, Host.]

Before him, a translucent blue panel blinked into existence — faint lines of light forming symbols and text across its surface. The air shimmered around it like rippling water.

Raj stared at the glowing screen for a few seconds, his expression unreadable.

Then his mouth twitched.

"Raiyu Glaze, huh? So that's my new name. Not bad — sounds kinda badass."

He rubbed his chin thoughtfully, muttering under his breath.

"Stats look… pretty solid for a starter. Way better than my old, noodle-armed self."

Then his gaze shifted toward the bottom of the panel.

"Karmic points : 0"

He tilted his head. "System, what the hell are karmic points supposed to be?"

A gentle chime echoed in his mind, followed by the familiar, neutral tone of the system.

[Karmic Points are special values granted to the Host for actions considered righteous or beneficial to others.]

[To put it simply, whenever the Host performs deeds that generate positive karmic balance — such as saving lives, helping others, or resolving fate-altering events — Karmic Points will be awarded.]

[These points may be used within the System Store to purchase weapons, skills, artifacts, or cultivation techniques.]

Raj blinked, processing the explanation.

"So basically… I get paid for being a decent human being?"

[In simplified mortal terminology, yes.]

He chuckled dryly. "Huh. That's new. Real life never rewarded me for not being an asshole."

A faint pause. Then the system responded again — in what somehow sounded almost smug:

[Perhaps this world has better management.]

Raj grinned, shaking his head.

"Well, at least one of us does."

He leaned back slightly, eyes glinting with curiosity. "Alright then, System… show me this so-called store. Let's see what being a hero can buy me."

[Host must accumulate at least 10 Karmic Points to access the System Store.]

Raj's grin vanished instantly.

"...Fuck. That's a bummer."

He sighed and crossed his arms, looking up at the sky.

"So basically, no gear, no skills, and no store until I start doing good deeds. Great. Guess I'm stuck being a broke hero again."

He kicked a pebble, muttering under his breath, when a sudden thought hit him.

"Wait a sec…"

His eyes narrowed, realization dawning.

"Why the hell do I not have this body's memories? Shouldn't I, like, automatically know where I am or who this guy was before me?"

The system responded immediately, its tone calm and mechanical.

[Host's soul and vessel were not originally compatible.]

[The body's past consciousness had to be cleansed, and its residual memories are currently being processed.]

[Transfer can commence now, should the Host wish to receive full synchronization.]

Raj raised an eyebrow.

"So… it's like downloading a new game's lore after installing the update?"

 [Affirmative.]

He chuckled softly. "Alright then, System. Process the damn update. Let's see what kind of life this guy had before I moved in."

 [Understood, Host. Beginning Memory Synchronization.]

[Warning: Temporary dizziness or discomfort may occur.]

Before Raj could reply, a sudden jolt struck his mind.

His vision blurred, and the world around him seemed to twist, folding in and out of focus.

Images began flashing before his eyes — places, faces, voices, and fragments of a life that wasn't his.
