Opening the sparkling box, Charlotte was blasted with a burst of twinkling lights. Overwhelmed by the shot to her already feline sight, she jerked away from the treasure chest and covered her eyes quickly.
"UGHH! What was that?!"
Readying their weapons, the others quickly got in position to take on whatever trap awaited them, but to their surprise, the treasure was neither treasure nor a trap but a person–or at least something resembling a person.
"New challengers, eh?" Floating mid-air with her burning silver body, a young spirit donning a silver armoured bikini lay before them. Swirling through the air and circling everyone's body before returning to the treasure chest, the spirit had nabbed their weapons and threw them in the treasure chest. "You don't need them right now."
Smiling with a toothy grin, she crossed her legs in mid-air and began counting everyone with a finger stretched. Curling up like an infant as she counted, a piece of brown paper emerged before her. Glancing sideways at it, she plucked a shard of her silver crown and used it as a pen to paper.
"A hero and three companions, one helper–" She said, eyeing Zephyr.
A subtle nod, and everything was exchanged; she needed no more explanation than the presence of her master beside them.
"Who are you, and give us our weapons back!" Rudy exclaimed, stepping forward.
"Yeah! We don't wanna hurt but–"
Waving a finger in mid air, the spirit conjured a piece of cloth that wrapped tightly around Rudy's mouth. Roxanne was spared the courtesy, but the sight of the hero being silenced at once was enough for her.
"I am Rizzy." Standing upright, the spirit leaned forward and touched Rudy's nose. "The spirit of this dungeon. And I make sure that nobody tries to cheat their way through the floors. Now I have other tasks as well, but as far as you need to know, I'm the gal who shows up when you clear the boss on every floor."
"Does that mean we defeated the first floor's boss?" Audrey asked, enthusiastically.
Nodding at her words, Rizzy lifted her feet off the ground and summoned a conic flute in her hands. Smirking, she announced through it, and her voice echoed loud enough to rattle the bones.
"There you have it! Our first challengers in centuries, everyone!" Covering their ears, everyone struggled against the voice, and yet the spirit continued with her announcement. "Ready your knickers, you snoring sluts! New challengers mean new battles, so sharpen your blades! Hone your senses or our master shall spank your butts!"
Laughing out loud, Rizzy wondered how long it had been since she had to awaken the guardians of each floor. With her voice, they were roused and reminded of their duty, and as much as they disliked her loud, comical announcements, they had to bear it, for she was a childish spirit of the dungeon born from their Archmaiden's very body.
"Now then! Off for your rewards! What did you get? Is it gold? Is it a weapon or junk?" Flying over the heads of the heroes, Rizzy chuckled to herself as the group still struggled against her loud voice. "Go ahead and find out! The chest is right there, and I'll see you folks on the next floor! AHAHA~!"
Even as she disappeared, her voice rang as a din in everyone's ears. Zephyr was mostly immune to her loudness, but even he couldn't escape the headache that his daughter sometimes brings. Holding his head, he heaved a sigh and made a mental note of hiding that voice-amplifying flute the next time that they met.
It was one amongst many weapons in the fiend's possession that could hurt him after all. However, much like her mother, Rizzy does not seem to have a grasp on the severity of any given situation.
'A flute of all things, I might need to talk to Gamorrah about letting Rizzy go through our treasures.' Keeping his discomfort from showing, Zephyr took a step forward and knocked on the frame of the chest to bring everyone's attention to it. Once they'd recovered from the ear-piercing echo, they stepped up and collected their equipment before noticing a piece of paper at the bottom.
Reaching out, Charlotte took it in her hand and examined it from front to back. But not a word was legible on the parchment, and to her surprise, it split in two after a few seconds. The others gasped and were ready to complain, but then they felt a darkness climbing up their legs. Worse, it not only climbed up but made its way into their bodies through their groin. Though they complained, the only thing the girls heard was the laughter of the spirit echoing around them. The dungeon's starting level may have proved easier than they'd expected, but with the added challenge from the reward and perhaps from the 'rewards' that may come, their quest to defeat the fiend might be even longer and more treacherous than they may have expected.
"How about we head back for now and think clearly about what happened?" Not affected by the curse as he wasn't part of the hero's party, Custer remained calm. "You can tell me and Aura all about what's going on. Maybe we can figure something out once we're back in town?"
Acting oblivious to what had happened, Zephyr led the group back to town. All the while, everyone just followed him blindly with a sudden boost in their libido, burning their chest and racing their minds. The very fact that they had to lie with a man to level up was both strangely exciting their bodies and making them anxious. After all, the only man that they knew who could grant them their wish was Rudy–but even then, none of the girls were ready for something like that with him yet–especially not Roxanne.
'I feel like I'm gonna faint…' Rudy, on the other hand, was struggling to even walk. The effect of the elixirs on the girls and this new burning in his groin was making it impossible for him to think clearly.
