Chapter 3 - Pegasus Will Awakened Academy

Pegasus Will Awakened Academy.

A prestigious school that was acknowledged worldwide as the best training institution for young awakened. A no-tuition school, run by the Pegasus Imperial Family and guaranteed 100% acceptance into any Guild of preference upon graduation.

What made the academy more intriguing was the fact that its inner rules were unknown, making it a very mysterious academy that many longed to enter.

....

The ocean stretched endlessly, waves shimmering under the morning sun, until it collided with the colossal structure rising from the center of a man-made island. Pegasus Will Academy. From afar, it looked like a city built on water—sleek high-rises, vast training grounds, and towers glinting like silver against the sky. To an ordinary person, the place was breathtaking; to an Awakened student, it was a battlefield waiting to test and sharpen every skill they possessed.

The island itself was barricaded. Even the ocean surrounding the island was said to be enchanted, forming a natural barrier against those who weren't summoned or authorized to enter.

From the observation deck of the transport ship, a silver-haired boy with piercing green eyes stood motionless, his hands clasped behind his back. His hair glimmered in the sunlight, cascading down like a waterfall of silver threads. To most, he looked serene, almost bored. But the faint tightening of his jaw betrayed something else—a mind constantly calculating, evaluating, and observing.

Beside him, a dark-haired boy adjusted his bag strap and glanced nervously at the vast campus ahead. "This place… it's bigger than I imagined." He muttered. His tone carried a mixture of awe and apprehension.

"You'll get used to it." A girl's voice replied from the other side of the deck. Her short lilac hair swayed in the wind, and her violet eyes held a detached curiosity. "At first, everyone thinks the academy is just big buildings. But once you're in, you realize it's designed to break you—or make you."

The silver-haired boy's green eyes shifted slightly toward her. "Break or make… a peculiar way to put it." He said coolly, though his mind was already scanning the island for exits, defenses, and weaknesses.

The transport ship docked smoothly at the main platform. Students disembarked in a controlled flow, each wearing the academy's uniform: royal blue jackets etched with golden sigils on a neat pair of royal blue trousers

"Everyone, keep formation!" A staff member shouted, gesturing to the long line of students.

The crowd of students shuffled forward, their expressions ranging from excitement to anxiety. Some whispered names they had heard through rumors, others sized up potential rivals with quick, subtle glances. The island itself seemed alive, responding to the energy flowing from the academy's heart. Subtle fluctuations in the air hinted at students practicing their abilities within the walls, though they were hidden from plain sight.

The silver-haired boy moved with calm precision, his eyes flicking over every detail—the barriers, the patrol drones, the runes etched into the bridge rails. He was acutely aware of each student around him, noting posture, gait, and subtle hints of strength. Beside him, the dark-haired boy fidgeted nervously. "Do you… feel that?" He asked.

"Feel what?"

"The energy… it's so strong. Almost overwhelming."

The silver-haired boy glanced at him once, his expression unreadable. "It's everywhere. Control it, or it will control you."

As the group reached the main hall, a bell echoed through the air, clear and resonant. It was a sound that made the hairs on the back of the neck stand on end. Students were guided into the grand auditorium, a room with ceilings so high that the upper balconies seemed suspended in clouds. The walls were embedded with ancient runes, designed to monitor the abilities of anyone inside, ensuring no one could misuse their awakening powers during orientation.

From the stage, a tall figure emerged—a student; possibly a third-year, with sharp features and a calm, authoritative presence. His blonde hair framed a face that could be both charming and intimidating. He moved gracefully, his eyes covered by a white bandage that seemed to work, not to conceal a wound but to suppress something dangerous.

"Welcome, new students, to Pegasus Will Academy," He said, his voice echoing without amplification. "I am the Student Council President; Anthony Thornheart. You are about to enter a world where your limits will be tested. Your power, your intellect, and your will are all under scrutiny. Here, only those who understand the rules—and respect them—will survive and thrive."

The students shifted uneasily. Some whispered to one another; others kept silent, unsure if speaking would earn them attention or punishment.

"First," he continued, gesturing for the surrounding staffs to step forward, each carrying a suitcase. "Here in this academy, students are equipped with 'Limiters'; a handy bracelet that suppresses all abilities. While it might seem harsh, it is essentially to prevent the abuse of your powers and strange abilities. Only during training, can the limiters be removed by authorized personnel."

By the time he was done, everyone of the students had received the bracelets and complied, locking it around their wrists.

A murmur ran through the crowd. Some students pressed their hands to the bracelets, testing their resilience. Others noted that the runes on the surface pulsed in synchronization with their own energy—a constant, intimate reminder that the academy could track and suppress them at will.

"Second," he said, pacing slowly along the stage, "For your entire stay in this academy, there would be no allowance for contact with the outside world. And because of this, the academy grounds is equipped with several entertainment centers and all stores that would provide daily necessities."

The silver-haired boy adjusted his stance slightly, observing reactions. Some students stiffened, some laughed nervously, others simply stared, unsure whether the words were a joke or truth.

Finally, the Student Council President leaned forward, his presence commanding absolute attention. "Remember, here you are not just students—you are warriors, scholars, and potential rulers of the world. Your success depends on your discipline, your understanding of your own power, and your ability to adapt."

The students were instructed to follow a strict schedule, including a tour of the campus, dormitory assignments, and class assignments.

Walking through the corridors, the silver-haired boy noted every detail; the placement of wards, the slight hum of magical energy beneath the floors, and the faint shimmer of a portal barely visible at the edge of the library hall. Nearby, the dark-haired boy stumbled slightly, clearly overwhelmed by the sheer scale.

"Focus," The silver-haired boy muttered under his breath, "or you'll be another casualty of ignorance."

Outside, a group of students practiced sparring under the watchful eye of instructors. Light and shadow danced across the courtyard as energy clashed against energy, steel met steel, and spells of varying magnitude erupted in controlled explosions. Some students were clearly prodigies; others struggled merely to keep up.

Watching with a sly smile, the lilac-haired girl muttered.

"This might be interesting."
