Until a certain moment, the ear beneath her palm twitched slightly, and only then did she slowly lift her head to meet Gideon Larkin's face.

The hand that had originally hung quietly by his side had somehow tightly clasped her waist.
Then, with a sudden pull, he pressed her whole body into his embrace.
Seraphina instinctively wanted to retreat.
But as soon as she moved, Gideon forcefully pressed down on her shoulder, the entire weight of his body following down.
Seraphina lay facing upwards, her gaze slightly shifting up to meet his.
Gideon's lion ears still stood upright on his head, a faint blush on them.
"What are you doing?"
Seraphina's cheeks instantly burned.
She frantically raised her hands, pressed them against his chest, trying to push him away.
But Gideon's arms remained unmoving, steadily supporting on both sides of her, making it impossible for her to move.
