The drive to Pinewood Garden was wrapped in a heavy silence. Gideon stayed engrossed in his phone, scrolling and typing, while Summer kept her eyes firmly on the road.
Several minutes later, the car glided past the grand entrance of Pinewood Garden. The atmosphere immediately shifted. Lush greenery, perfectly trimmed hedges, and sprawling villas lined the wide driveway.
Summer slowed down, unable to stop her eyes from taking in the breathtaking, luxurious villas.
"Which complex are you going to?" she finally asked, breaking the silence.
"Southwest corner," Gideon replied coolly. He flicked a glance at the map on his phone. "Take the next turn."
Summer turned the wheel. The car rolled forward, and then the villa came into sight. For a moment, she forgot to breathe.
