Gideon's temper flared, her eyes blazing in fury. "You caused problems between us. You made her leave me." His jaw clenched so hard a muscle jumped violently.
"What nonsense?" Landon opened his mouth to defend himself, but Gideon didn't give him a chance to explain.
"We were living happily, but you destroyed our love. You manipulated her, fooled her, trapped her with your charm. You forced her to deceive me. Because of you, she chose to leave me."
Landon gaped at him, wide-eyed, stunned by the absurdity of the accusation. He was stunned at the fact that Gideon believed Summer had an extramarital affair with him. That was insane.
Gideon's breathing grew rough, nostrils flaring. "You took her to the Crescent Hotel six years ago, didn't you? Hope is your biological daughter, isn't she?"
That was enough. Landon couldn't take it.
