Chapter 2 - ARC OF GLITCH : Chapter 1 – The Confession

Chapter 1 – The Confession

"I like you, Rahul! Please, please be my boyfriend~"

With a honeyed voice, a girl standing in front of me confessed her feelings to me.

Am I dreaming?

It must be a dream—because the girl standing in front of me was none other than the famous model and singer, Miss Salina from my class.

She's quite famous in town and in college. Her mother was originally from Britain, which contributes to her beauty. You get it, right?

So—the famous celebrity of the college, who can choose any rich guy or someone with a great future, is confessing her love to me.

A guy who doesn't have money, or a great future.

Or, more precisely, a loner who doesn't have any friends.

Something is fishy here.

It has to be something related to a prank… or maybe a fake relationship to keep other boys away.

Or maybe… maybe she really likes me?

Nah! It can't be possible. Don't dream with open eyes, Mr. Rahul. She's asking you out of the blue—it has to be one of the first two options.

I got lost in my thoughts and didn't pay attention to Salina. I took off my glasses, held them in my hands, and looked closely toward her.

She looked kind of afraid and kept glancing at the tree behind me.

"Seriously!?" I asked, with a shocked expression. Knowing all the facts, I must be nuts, right?

"I'm very serious!" she said, closing her eyes.

I dropped my glasses on the ground. When I bent down to pick them up, I looked backward—there was some movement.

Being the shrewd guy that I am, everything clicked instantly.

Her friends were enjoying this little prank… or punishment.

I knew from the beginning that not a single person would care about me in this college. But this… this made me feel bad for myself. Poor little me.

"I don't know anything about you, and you also don't know anything about me, so... you know what I'm trying to say, don't you? I can't be your boyfriend," I said in a husky voice, knowing the situation—it was better to back off now.

"Yes, that's true. But we'll get to know each other over time. So please, don't say no~" Salina replied.

With that reply, I could confirm it—this wasn't a prank, but a punishment.

If I turned her down, her friends would force her to approach me again—because I'm the main character of this novel, aren't I?

"Then okay... let's date," I said with a fake smile.

"Are you serious?" Salina questioned.

"I'm serious. Wanna hang out after college ends? I mean, as a date after college?" I asked.

"Yes, of course!" she replied.

"Okay then, bye. See you after college," I said, and left toward the classroom.

I guess I can entertain myself for some time now—to avoid my boredom.

And also… let me cook something for the readers.

Hahahahaha (pure evil laughter)

Chapter 2 – Salina's Side

My name is Salina.

I'm a model and singer. I don't want to sound sarcastic, but… I'm pretty famous in town.

I'm twenty-one years old and attending an art college known for being filled with rich kids.

I chose this college because they value privacy and allow me to take leaves as I want, depending on my work schedule.

Everything was perfect—until this morning.

---

Morning

When I entered the classroom, my friends greeted me.

"Good morning, guys~" I said, waving my hands left and right.

"Morning, Salina~" my female friend, Maya, said.

"Morning, Salina. Did you get prettier again?" my male friend, Akash, teased.

"Oh, stop it already~ that's just your imagination!" I replied.

"Hey! Stop flirting with her!"

"And you, Salina—you did it again!"

It was my best friend, Tanvi, with an annoyed face.

"You said you'd come hang out with us this weekend, but you didn't show up! We waited for you for almost two hours! You didn't even pick up your phone or see any of our messages!" she said angrily.

"I'm really sorry! I just got too focused on my work and lost track of time. So please forgive me this once!" I pleaded.

"This once? It's your third time doing this! Be ready for your punishment," she said, still annoyed.

"Punishment? What kind of punishment?" I asked, tilting my head.

"You have to date the dumbest guy in our class. You don't have to really date him—just pretend," Tanvi said.

"That's so wrong! I can't do that!"

"You don't have to feel guilty," she continued. "Because the person we're choosing is about to get expelled. He's in this college on a scholarship, but he's about to lose it. So, think of it as a treat for him—or maybe a goodbye gift."

Salina looked out the window.

"The guy wearing headphones and sleeping in the morning—that's the one you're going to date," Tanvi pointed.

I looked out the window.

A guy with long black hair in a wolf cut was either sleeping or listening to music. Suddenly, he got up, looked at his phone, placed it in his leather bag, and took out his glasses.

He wore them and walked out of the class.

During that short moment, I saw his face. He was good-looking—and tall, maybe around 180 cm.

"Did he hear what we were discussing? If so, we're going to be in big trouble," Akash said nervously.

"I don't think so. He always seems like he's either listening to music or in a deep sleep," Tanvi replied.

"Okay, I'm on it. I'll ask him to be my boyfriend—as punishment for the last three times," I said.

I felt sorry for them. They had waited two hours for me… and honestly, I was a little curious about that guy.

Students who get scholarships in this college are very rare—only one is accepted each year.

And he's someone who has never approached me—not even once.

"Okay then, good luck! Ask him out during lunch break, okay? We'll watch from a hidden spot," Tanvi said.

"Okay," I replied.
