Chapter 1 - The morning sunlight

The morning sunlight, unfortunately, managed to sneak in through the gap in Alea's curtains. She had tried to close them tightly so she could sleep in longer. Reluctantly, Alea reached for her phone lying on the nightstand. The time read 6:00 AM. "Damn it! It's still too early," she muttered, rubbing her eyes.

Alea finally got out of bed and walked towards the window. She yanked the curtains open, making a noisy sound that was quite annoying. However, the view outside the window always managed to soothe her heart. Her house was located in a lush residential complex, with small gardens filled with colorful flowers, and shady trees that created a cool atmosphere.

She took a deep breath of the morning air. "The air is so fresh," she thought. Today was the first day of school after a long and boring vacation. Alea couldn't wait to meet Rara and Dinda, her two super hilarious best friends.

After showering and putting on her school uniform, which had been neatly ironed by Mbok Nah, her maid who she considered like her own mother, Alea went down to the dining room. There, her parents were already waiting while enjoying breakfast.

"Good morning, Sweetheart," Alea's Mom greeted her with a smile that always made Alea feel comfortable.

"Good morning, Mom, Dad," Alea replied, kissing both of her parents on the cheek in turn.

"How was your sleep, dear? Did you sleep well?" Alea's Dad asked without taking his eyes off the newspaper he was reading.

"I slept well, Dad. Alea is excited to go to school," Alea replied, grabbing a piece of bread and spreading it with her favorite chocolate spread.

"That's good then. Oh, Mom heard from Mrs. Rini that there's a new transfer student at your school. They say he's handsome," Alea's Mom teased, chuckling softly. "Mrs. Rini is so nosy, always up-to-date on young people.

"Alea rolled her eyes lazily. "Oh, Mom, you're impossible. Alea isn't too worried about the new student. The important thing is, I can meet my friends," Alea replied, trying to hide the blush that was starting to appear on her cheeks.

After finishing breakfast, Alea said goodbye to her parents and immediately left for school. She rode her bicycle at a moderate speed, enjoying every gust of wind that hit her face. Her long hair flowed freely, dancing to the rhythm of the wind.

Arriving at the school gate, Alea was immediately greeted by two figures she knew very well. Rara and Dinda, her best friends who were always there for her in good times and bad.

"Alea! Oh my God, I missed you so much!" Rara exclaimed, hugging Alea tightly, almost making her lose her balance.

"Yeah, Ale! Where have you been during the holidays? We couldn't meet at all," Dinda chimed in with an equally excited tone.

Alea laughed at her two friends' antics. "Yeah, sorry guys. Yesterday I had to go out of town with Dad, there was some work stuff," Alea explained, returning their hug.

"Yeah right, you were probably busy dating, weren't you?" Rara teased, nudging Alea's arm.
