Charles Thorn's POV
I sat on the balcony of the country house that Williams owns.
The cool breeze hit my cheeks as I sat staring at the open field.
"I made breakfast, you should come let's eat."
I turned to Anita's voice. After I woke up from the coma, I didn't know how to behave.
She has tried to be civil with me but I just can't bring myself to trust her. She worked for the Red Tusk Mafia and infiltrated my home.
Several scenarios played in my head.
What if she would have hurt me?
What if she would have hurt Elena?
"Thank you, I'll come down."
She nodded and turned to leave. I followed her behind with my walk-in stick hitting hard against the wooden floor.
We soon reached the dining table and Williams was already there. There were a lot of unspoken words.
He has tried to be kind to me, but I can feel the gap. This man isn't the once very jovial brother I had.
I saw how he behaved with Anita. He was still that person but he seemed very distant.
