Elena's POV
I sat on my laptop tapping away on the garden chair, with Harper seated beside me.
I noticed something, she has been distant. Like something was on her mind.
"What is the problem, Harper?" I asked, my gaze fixated on my laptop screen.
Her head whipped at me. "Why would you ask that?"
"I just feel like something heavy is on your mind. Can you tell me what the problem is?"
She looked surprised. "I guess I've let my guards down around you."
"Yes, you have. You're not just my body guard, Harper. You're also my friend."
She squinted her eyes at me. "My brother got involved with a bad gang on the streets. He needs a way out, but the only way out is death."
"Wait, is it Ty? The same guy that started the supermarket business?"
She smiled at me nodding. "Yes, him. We have been trying to get him out but he already has a business now."
I pondered on her words. I've always had a soft spot for Harper. She is one of the kindest people I've met.
