Monalisa's POV
I have been unable to sleep well for days now. Since after my father made my brother the sole heir to his fortune, envy has eaten me up really badly.
I heard a knock on the door. "Come in."
Someone stepped in and from the scent that hit my nostrils, it was Alice.
"What do you want?"
"I have bad news, I'm sure you won't like it." She stood far from me and I could tell that she was scared.
"What is it this time?"
"Theo just called me and told me that his father declined to help. He said that he would keep trying….."
"Shut up!" I flung the glass cup beside my bed and it hit the ground. She jumped in fear.
"I'm sorry, I tried my best."
"Your best wasn't enough! It was so simple. Sleep with him and get him to do as we've discussed but even that is hard for you. How hard can it be? I always get my way with these men."
