When she had agreed to the marriage, Lu Wanli hadn't thought about it being a conventional one.
She had imagined that the man just wanted to fulfill the contract he signed and the both of them could live their separate lives for the next two years.
But now, she realized just how mistaken she was.
All of a sudden, she felt that she had many questions yet, she wasn't sure if she could ask them since there was someone else in the car.
So instead, she sat quietly and faced the window while fuming inside.
'How could I have been stupid?'
"Ah, I must have been bewitched by his good looks!"
Mo Jingshen looked up from his iPad and his eyes held a bit of amusement as he looked at the girl that was musing beside him.
Not realizing that she said that out loud, Lu Wanli kept trying to think about how their life was going to be.
Is he going to expect them to be like a normal couple?
Eventually, unable to hold it back, she turned to look at him.
"I mentioned that I was still a student right? I'm in my second year of college."
Mo Jingshen nodded without looking up.
"Your house seems to be a bit far from where my school is. This might be very inconvenient."
Mo Jingshen nodded again but this time he looked up and met her gaze.
"I have another apartment in Haiyun District. Since it's our wedding night, it's only proper to go home."
Haiyun District was close to the center of their city and was indeed not too far from her college.

"Can we stop by the pharmacy before we go back? I didn't expect that we would go back together after the registration. So I need to get some sanitary items"
Mo Jingshen looked at her deeply and saw that her lazy and wild aura was completely gone. Now, she looked like she was on edge as she glanced around from time to time.
He was able to easily guess her thoughts but he said nothing, instead, he only instructed his assistant.
"Chen Rui, stop at the next pharmacy."
The car pulled to a stop at the next pharmacy. Just as she was about to get off, Mo Jingshen held her elbows to stop her and then passed her a black card.
"Use this."
Lu Wanli shook her head hurriedly before rushing out of the car.
Once she was out of the car, Lu Wanli took a deep breath and felt that the air was especially refreshing.
Mo Jingshen had a natural aura around him that made others feel restrained even though he wasn't saying anything.
She moved around the supermarket to grab some daily use items, she grabbed some sanitary pads too and went to pay.
When she wanted to pay, she remembered him giving her his card and she almost cursed out.
By spending his money, was this man trying to trap her completely?
Also, why was he acting off script? Did he forget what a ruthless devil should act like?
She grabbed two bottles of water and a bar of chocolate too as she suddenly found that she was hungry.
When she got back inside the car, she passed Mo Jingshen a bottle of water before drinking out of hers.
Mo Jingshen was a little surprised at her gesture.
"Thank you."
The car ride continued again and Lu Wanli was still chewing on the chocolate bar when the car rolled into a neighborhood.
Yunhai District.
She had heard about this area later on in her past life when it was fully developed.
Right now, it was still undergoing development.
Although everywhere was properly cleaned and the lands were trimmed, there were not many houses yet.
They passed only about three villas before they stopped in front of a large gate.
The gate opened almost immediately and Lu Wanli's eyes took in everything around her.

Even though the house wasn't outrageously large, the entire place looked like it was carefully cultivated.

The car drove through the pathway that was decorated with several rare flowers and plants before stopping in front of the villa.
Chen Rui got down and opened the door for Mo Jingshen while a man stopped in front of the car and opened the door for Lu Wanli.
Once she got down, he bowed slightly and grabbed the shopping bag from her hands.
Behind him, the line of staff that were standing in a straight line also bowed.
"Welcome back, Master."
"Welcome back, Madam."
Although she felt a little uncomfortable at the address, Lu Wanli nodded and gave them a smile.
However, the faces of the maids and the butler fell at her reaction.
Their Master's assistant had called to tell them that he was bringing the madam home.
All of them were excited at the news. Or at least, most of them but they hadn't expected that this type of woman would be the young madam.
They had greeted her but they had expected that this young lady would tell them that she wasn't their Madam.
Did their master pick his wife from the streets?
Lu Wanli caught the change in their reaction but said nothing, instead, she glanced at Mo Jingshen to get a read on him.
Unfortunately, she saw that the man was already on a call and although he was speaking in a low volume, she could hear that he was speaking English.
Knowing she had to handle the matter by herself, she looked at the Butler and nudged her head forward.
"Lead the way, you can do the introductions later."
Hopefully, by that time, she would have discussed with Mo Jingshen to make sure that their living arrangements were separate.
