After Olessia left, leaving Kaive and Ziven alone, Ziven's eyes lingered on the doorway long after it closed.
"Brother, you scared me to death," Kaive said, rubbing his palms together. "I thought… the worst."
Ziven finally looked at him, his lips parting, then closing again. He exhaled slowly, "I'm still here, and I will never leave you," he said.
He understood what his brother meant. And he was grateful. Even though they had been on loggerheads because of Olessia, Kaive did not allow their fight to affect the love they had for each other.
