Unease rippled through the hall. Kaive had only just spoken her name, yet she was already there. No doors opened, and no footsteps was heard. One moment, the space Dalindra stood was empty, and the next, it wasn't. They all searched for an explanation, but none came. No one remembered seeing her arrive.
Chills ran down their spines as Dalindra stood among them. No one spoke, and no one moved.
"I heard my name," Dalindra said calmly.
She stepped forward, and the crowd moved back without being told, parting instinctively. No one dared stand too close as she claimed her space.
"I have always wanted to visit the palace," she said calmly, her gaze settling on His Royalty Kaive. "I simply did not expect it to be this soon."
