Asuka, who was both scared and excited because of the battle that she was about to have with Nancy, smiled, charged up all her magic power she had inside and told Nancy -Good, I'm your opponent prepotent queen, attack me with all your strength- Nancy, with a sneering smile responded to Asuka -If you want die this painful death, I will accept your challenge- Sharpened her pincers and pounced Asuka.
Shiko, who was thinking how to find the lost sword in the sand, remembered that every time he used "spear sword" the sword grew, but to make use if the skill he had to have an objective, but when the sword was underground the objective cannot be pinned, the he remembered that Nancy could control the sand, without hesitation he went back to Asuka and shouted her – Asuka, make her use all her power on the sand to cause pillars to emerge, making the sand stir to make the sword visible again!- Asuka after hearing it, casted a ray downwards to make herself fly upwards and somehow control the stability in the air, Nancy saw Asuka`s act, decided to use sand column to get closer and hitting her swiftly, but for Asuka's luck, not knowing how to balance made her dodge casually, Nancy failed and got angry , she kept on rising more pillars until she managed to hit Asuka with one of them, trapping her against the wall immobilizing her beneath the sand.
Nancy, mocking Asuka -Muahahaha! Didn't you say that you challenged me you whore? - exclaimed and raised her tail attempting to pierce Asuka with it and when she was about to reach her with her giant sting in her tail, she had to flip and dodge an attack from Shiko's sword. Nancy, surprised from this attack asked.
-Nancy: This sword… it cannot be, you made me use the sand pillars in purpose?
Asuka, spitting blood due the blow against the wall and pressure that the sand made against her body, she said:
-Asuka: Looks like, that your bonehead is so hollow that you didn't notice.
-Shiko: I waited till you raised the sword with a sand pillar, but that resulted in less field of view for yourself each time that you rose a pillar, then I saw the sword perfectly near a temple's pillar, well do you prefer keep fighting Asuka, or is it way to easy then I will join the fight?
-Nancy: Muahahaha! Do you really think that you both are a challenge for me? I can fight with both at the same time, too easy. Muahahaha!
-Asuka: Good bonehead, you must be really skilled to stop our super combo.
Asuka, although being between a rock and a hard place, casted some magical beams to dissipate some sand that had her trapped to let her arms free. In that way she could aim at Nancy to use her next attack -Magic shoot!- Shouted and from her palms spawned many light balls that were too fast for Nancy sight, making impact and lowering her HP, with no reaction time, Shiko launched himself with a basic attack to sidetrack her attention, but Nancy stopped the attack easily with her pincers, holding the sword and forcing Shiko to struggle to make her let him go, to don't leave him do any move, she attacked with her other pincer but Asuka used "sharpen" on Shiko to make him have enough strength to overpower the pincer that hold against his sword, leaving him room to clash strengths with second pincer that was used to attack.
Nancy, after seeing her attacks being annulated again, busted into rage and started using her Sharp pincers randomly to harm Shiko, but thanks to Asuka's boost he managed to defend himself from each of Nancy's attacks from their sword and pincer clashing. Meanwhile the brawl between these two has happening Asuka freed herself from the sand that trapped her against the wall with her magic and then casting another "Magic shoot" to Nancy, noticing Asuka's actions, meanwhile she was clashing with Shiko, she waved his sword violently to critically hit Asuka causing her to fly through the air and launching her faraway from Shiko, the boy seeing the blow that Asuka took, got distracted, making dumb act off worry to allow Nancy to and a hit aimed at his stomach provoking a great loss on Hp and leaving him breathless.
-Ahg- … I almost forgot that this Monster although having human shape, she has strong bones… if another hit gets me it may leave in a critical state – spitted some blood after saying those words.
Nancy, seeing that she had her opponents on their knees, she regained her sanity - Muahahaha! Do you see how weak you are? You can't do anything against my beautiful power- She exclaimed with her mocking tone again, but always with her guard up, which made her dodge a desperate attack from Shiko with his "Sharp Burst" ability, thus making Nancy hit him very easily with her tail, tossing Shiko into the sand, after this, the monster put one of her feet on Shiko's head.
-Nancy: Humans are sooooo pathetic, always trying to show that they can be superior just because they're human.
-Shiko: Ahgg... you... you think you are superior because of that excessive power you have that is not even yours.
-Nancy: Do you dare to say that this beautiful power is yours!?
-Shiko: So, this black magic of this "menace" makes them forget completely who they once were… trapping them in their ambition for power.
Nancy got confused by the boy's words, which made her not attack him and think the reason of why he said those words… and in that brief moment, she achieved to remember the reason of that world for existing.
-Nancy: Boy… You are not from this world, right?
-Shiko: What does that have anything to do with it? Why so interested just now?
-Nancy: Boy… it must be you… definitely… it's you
Unfortunately, Nancy's overwhelm was brief, because she was attacked by a huge "light beam" from Asuka, making her hurt and retreat, such an achievement managed to make an effect on Nancy's HP and alongside it, make her return to her madness leaving that mental state she just had.
-Shiko: Thank you for making her drop me… but she was about to tell me something very important.
-Asuka: Why would that thing say something important?
-Shiko: I've discovered that she is acting under the complete control of black magic, they stopped being themselves, they don't fight to challenge us or put us on trial like Hydra, they… after some time of containing the black magic, lose themselves… and is very probable that she isn't like this, or she wasn't like this before being controlled.
-Asuka: I see… but unfortunately, Hydra mentioned that currently there's no cure for them, so our current objective is killing her remains the same…
Asuka's words felt somewhat crude to Shiko, although he felt the need to save the kingdom, not only to save it but also to return to his own world, he was feeling obligated to commit such acts... hurt, kill, being strict with himself... when he began to think about these things, Nancy was very enraged launched an attack on him forcing Asuka to protect him with her magic shield -What do you think you are doing? Do you want her to kill you!? - Asuka shouted at him, holding back Nancy's strong attack. Shiko came to, noticing the situation he was in, he looked at his HP again and began to feel nervous since it was below yellow, just like Asuka's. Feeling cornered, he made a desperate attack again and used "Spear sword" to hurt Nancy, but when she saw that the attack was predictable, dodged and held the sword with her tail one of her pincers again, but Shiko seeing that the same situation as before was about to occur, instead of struggling, She took the sword with only one hand and used the other to punch Nancy in the face, giving Asuka a chance to drop the shield and dodge the attack with Nancy's other pincer.
I'm tired of such cheap tricks! -Nancy shouted with all her sanity completely destroyed, and to avoid letting Asuka do any quick movement again, she shaked an arm to hit Asuka and making her HP bar lowering into red, and so, piercing Shiko's stomach with her tail's stinger. Asuka, was terrified, was completely paralyzed in the ground when she was the act, with no reaction whatsoever, but in that moment, she saw shiko's eyes, and instead of showing any agony, they showed determination, it was like if they told Asuka that she better paid more attention to the situation, thus making her think in a faster solution. When thinking more about her surroundings, she managed to observe the sword was no longer in Nancy's pincer, and that Monster was focused only on Shiko, the girl used boost a last time on Shiko and with her telekinesis swiftly pushed his arm and without letting Nancy react, her stomach was also pierced too. With Shiko and Nancy in a grave situation, both of them with their stomach pierced, a warm light appeared around Nancy.
-Nancy: You were… able to… to make me free.
-Shiko: Are you… dying?
Nancy: When living beings is about to pass away… depending on the color light that surrounds them their destiny is sealed… if the light is warm and yellow, they will go to the overworld, where their soul will rest in peace… In Celesworld`s kingdom, but if it is black.... they will go to hell.
With this said…Nancy began vanishing more in a yellow light and before leaving completely. She saw Shiko's eyes and said her last words:
- "Goodbye… this is my final message..."
Nancy disappeared completely, leaving Shiko's sword fall into the sand. With no reaction time, Shiko fell into the ground while agonizing, Asuka holds him in her in hands desperately couldn't think about a way of saving him.
-Asuka: Shiko, you cannot die now, hold on!
-Shiko: Haha… Did you know that saying "hold on" to someone that has a pierced stomach is quite ridiculous.
-Asuka: Stop it! We don't have more potions? Don't you have any way of recovering yourself?
-Shiko: Asuka, firstly, you are mage… you must have some kind pf healer power… secondly, you must calm down… you don't have to be hysteric for someone you met yesterday.
-Asuka: Why does it matter that I met you yesterday? You are a person, who I promised to save the world alongside him, this means that since the start, our promise involves adventures, rage, laughter, sadness… if you die our promise gets broken… and we just began to that to happen…
-Shiko: You… you are quite a cute, do not worry… excuse me if I leave you alone so soon.
Without knowing what else to say, Asuka started crying desperately… but meanwhile she saw Shiko in hear arms, she saw his eyes a last time and when seeing them… they were still filled determination… giving her a calming and hopeful atmosphere -Asuka… relax and think. She said to herself, when calmed, she saw the skill had a reddish color, giving a hint that was about time to use it. -I have never used it, nor for healing when in danger, the description says I can only use it on me or someone in contact range, but… Shiko`s wounds were profound, meaning that I had to make direct contact with his inner parts… she bit him, making that when using the healing skill, both started slowly restoring their wounds meanwhile they were in an awkward situation.
After some time, the wounds of both of them were healed, Shiko felt fine again and stood up in their feet after disjoining -What kind of mage powers do you have to heal a hole in someone's chest with only level 5? -said Shiko while both impressed and scared – I don't know… I just did it, Asuka responded equally scared.
To break off the dramatic and weird atmosphere, Shiko stared at the ground, and after lowering his sight he saw that in the place of death there were 2 items thrown in the ground just like Hydra`s fight, and next to those items, there were more experiences bags. Asuka turned her sight down and saw them as well and noticed the items, they were a scorpion's pincer and flask of venom.
After taking the experience bag and leveling up to Lv. 15, they took the items and left the temple. Noticing that all skeleton Scorpion were no longer hostile and they were trying to enter the temple were their queen resided.
