Chapter 3 - Shanks

Yes, a summon can reject your summons. For example, even if Zeno wished to accept your call, you're currently too weak to sustain someone of his power within this world. That's where the 3× Pick Summons come in. This feature bypasses the limitations of strength and compatibility, allowing you to summon anyone you choose. Once summoned, you'll be able to call upon them again at any time. Of course, they can sever the bond if you betray their trust or do something that breaks the loyalty established by the summoning itself.]

Indeed, in this world, summoned creatures and beings were known to turn against their summoners if mistreated or pushed beyond their limits. While a summon was typically bound to obey its summoner's every command, that obedience was not absolute. If the bond fractured, the consequences could be deadly—for when loyalty was broken, so too was control.

'How long do I have to live?' he asked while getting out of bed, his movements slow and uneven. Carefully, Vector began removing the bandages wrapped around his body.

[Two years. Within this time, the host has to quickly reach S tier; otherwise, he will die. But the host need not worry. As the host's summons grow stronger, so does the host. Think of it as XP share—only in your case, no one is losing XP. You will always be two tiers below your highest-tier summon.]

'Okay, I feel stronger. Does this have to do with you?' Vector asked, his eyes narrowing slightly as he flexed his hands. He could feel the change, the faint power coursing through his body. He was no longer that weak kid who couldn't grow stronger no matter how hard he trained.

[Yes, I have stabilized your bloodline and had them work together to strengthen each other, which in return is going to show in your capability growing steadily over time]

'Alright, so how do I summon?' Vector asked calmly.

[For now, you're limited to one world. Please pick one world to summon from. As you grow stronger, new worlds will be unlocked for you to pick from.]

'Well, that's an easy pick. Dragon Ball, and have Zeno be my first pick,' Vector said with a faint smirk. it was a simple choice. Zeno might have been weak—pathetically weak in terms of physical strength—but his power was absurd.

His hax ability could erase anything, regardless of its strength or resistance. He might've been the weakest existence in Dragon Ball, yet his ability ignored every law that governed those stronger than him.

[Sorry, host, Dragon Ball is a locked world. Please pick another world.]

'Really? Fine… can I ask a question? How are these worlds locked?' Vector asked with a frown, his smirk fading as curiosity replaced his earlier confidence.

[Worlds that have someone who has an ability that ignores a person's strength and outright kills them, no matter what, are locked for now. For example, Jojo's verse is also returned. Yes, there are ways to resist and even be immune to some powers. But at your current level of power, such abilities seem godly.]

'Alright… One Piece.' Vector said while secretly crossing his finger.

[World isn't a locked host, do you wish to use your 1 pick summon on someone?]

'I want to pick Imu… but is it wise to summon someone whose power and ability I don't know? Plus, Imu evil nature might make it kill me simply for the thrill of it. Let's go with Shanks… wait, would he follow my orders?' Vector asked

[Good choice, host, and yes, someone you summon will follow orders like all summons do. But be warned, if Shanks fully rejects you, he can not only break the summons but also kill you. Do you still wish to summon him?]

'What? Well, that was close, Imu would have surely killed me.' Vector thought while nodding his head, knowing full well that Shanks would keep his spirit, meaning his Haki should remain as powerful as ever. Summons normally had their physical capability, mentle capability and such supress. How how do you suppress a summon willpower? That doesn't happen,

[The One Piece verse has been bonded with the host… the one known as Red Haired Shanks has been picked to be summoned… beginning summoning.]

Before Vector, a crack formed in the air, splitting space itself with a sharp, echoing sound. From that fracture stepped out a red-haired man dressed in old, loose-fitting clothes that carried the scent of salt and battle.

The air around him shifted with quiet authority—his mere presence enough to make the world feel smaller. Like all summons, the man immediately felt the instinct to kneel and pay respect to his master, but Vector quickly raised a hand to stop him, knowing full well that this man valued his freedom above all else.

"I'm Vector," he said, extending his hand with a friendly smile. As he did, his eyes caught a detail that made his eye brow rise. Shanks still had both of his hands. That could only mean one thing: the system had summoned him in his prime.

"Shanks," the red-haired man said with an equally friendly smile as he took Vector's hand in a firm shake. Through the bond formed by the summoning, Shanks could sense the emotions flowing from his summoner as clearly as if they were his own.

It almost made him laugh—he could feel how hard Vector was trying to stay composed, holding back the urge to completely fan-boy over meeting someone he clearly admired.

"So, what is this world?" Shanks asked, his tone relaxed but curious.

"Oh, we're in the Supreme Heaven's Empire," Vector replied with a small smile. "Specifically, within the land ruled by the Dragon Royal Family, close to the border of the Forest of Death."

Shanks nodded slightly, closing his eyes for a moment as he released his Observation Haki. His awareness expanded outward, reaching far beyond what the human eye could see, taking in every life and detail of the world around them.

"It's said that thousands of demigods fell there," Vector explained, fastening the last piece of clothing as he prepared to set out. "Because of that, the place became a forest overflowing with monsters. Even demigods themselves don't dare to step foot inside."

He went on to tell Shanks everything he needed to know about this world—its rules, its structure, and the dangers that lurked within—though he intentionally left out certain details the system would have already shared upon the summoning.

Shanks, smiled lightly while looking out the window towards the forest. The idea of entering the Forest of Death didn't trouble him in the slightest; if anything, it intrigued him. A world filled with magic, monsters, and unknown power was a place worth exploring, and Shanks was more than ready to see what it had to offer.

"You don't have enough energy for me to go all out…" Shanks said lightly, his tone calm but certain. His strength might have been restricted to -F tier by the system's limits, yet his willpower was something no boundary could suppress. That unyielding spirit kept his Haki just as overwhelming as ever,

"Yeah… I don't think you should try using a full-power attack," Vector replied with an awkward laugh, scratching the back of his neck. "I'd probably faint before the attack even launched." His voice carried a mix of humor and unease, knowing full well that even a restrained Shanks cover power this whole empire… well, maybe.

If one really thought about it, the world of One Piece was massive. The islands themselves were so large they could easily be compared to continents, alabasta and island in the one piece wrld was about the same size as Australia

And since Shanks stood above monsters like Kaido—beings who could casually lift entire islands while battling armies—then by that logic, Shanks' strength alone was at least multi-continental back in the One Piece world… though that wasn't entirely accurate.

After all, characters in One Piece fought with two distinct styles of power. The first was area-of-effect attacks, the kind that reshaped landscapes—like Whitebeard's quakes that split the earth or Enel's lightning that could erase an island in an instant.

But most characters, especially the strongest ones, didn't focus on destruction. What they excelled at were focused attacks, strikes meant not to devastate the world around them, but to pinpoint and overwhelm their target with terrifying precision.

You're not going to tell me Luffy couldn't destroy an island—even Enel, before the time skip, was capable of doing that. It's a tricky argument because, logically, Luffy should be able to as well. The question isn't about his raw strength but rather whether he has an attack capable of causing such large-scale destruction without Gear 5. His power is immense, but most of his abilities focus on overwhelming his opponent rather than wiping out the land around them.

Things get even more complicated once Haki comes into play. Armament Haki allows a fighter to bypass durability entirely, destroying enemy from the inside out. Conqueror's Haki grants a massive boost in attack power, even giving the user the ability to nullify abilities altogether. And then there's Observation Haki, which can heighten awareness to impossible levels—letting its user glimpse into the future itself.
