CHAPTER FIFTY-two
Paul finished recounting everything that happened to the king but he said nothing. Deep down he was surprised that she was already handling her responsibility as the queen quite well. He had sent Paul to spy on her to know if she was in any danger but she was surprisingly doing well for a weak human girl.
Perhaps his decision to bring her to his home was not wrong in the end, but when he taught about Genevieve, his face turned cold
"look into what Genevieve has been up to recently"
"yes your highness." Once Paul left, it gave him time to be alone with his taught. Cyrus then appeared into the throne room and sat down cross legged
" sister-in-law is amazing" he said as he smiled and said in a meaningful manner. Darius ignored him and asked in an annoyed tone.
"what are you doing here?" he said that to make him seem annoyed but in real life, he was actually pleased that his brother has not forgotten him to the worldly affair of the human empire.
"I ran into mom on the day before your wedding."
"and so?"
" you know you guessed right. She wants me to get married now or she would pick a bride for me, mate or no mate…."
"it's as expected."
"how do you mean?"
" she's jealous that I got to marry before you even found a mate." Cyrus kept quiet while listening to what Darius was saying. He wanted both of them to get along but it seemed it was impossible. One was his brother and the other was his mother. He loved both of them dearly and seriously wished they got along with each other....
"you have anything else to talk about?? Darius asked. He understood Cyrus silence and he didn't want to talk about his mother again… at least he had a lot of things to worry about for now.
"why are you asking?"
"I'm busy." Darius said with a serious expression that Cyrus didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Soon he taught of something and stared at Darius with a smirk.
"then I'll go and visit sister-in-law then."
"don't say anything stupid Cyrus."
"you bet."
